BMW M3 Competition MH3 600 by Manhart
Just like ABT Sportsline is to Audi, Manhart is to BMW. The German aftermarket company is known to customize Bimmers quite tastefully. They look quite different from the stock models, but nothing too extravagant. Their latest build is a testimony to that. Manhart has come up with its own version of the 2021 BMW M3 Competition called the MH3 600. The car comes with a black-and-gold combination on the outside that looks swell. But, it’s not just this. It also makes over 100 horses more and features a different suspension setup and exhaust system.
2022 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe
BMW’s gamble to come up with the 4 Series Gran Coupe paid. The company introduced it in 2014 to fill the vacuum between the 3 Series and the 5 Series. Given the vast lineup of both these models, no one really felt a need for a vehicle in between. But, as they say, it was something we didn’t know we need.
Fast forward to the present day, BMW has launched the second-gen of the 4 Series Gran Coupe. Apart from the little tweaks and enhancements in all departments, the biggest add-on to the 2022 4 Series Gran Coupe is the extra pair of doors that makes it all the more practical. Like it any better now?
The Story of the 1956 Mack Trucks Arctic Expedition to Build the DEW Line
11 Mack trucks, each with a 28-liter V12 Cummins diesel engine under the hood, hauling over three million pounds of cement and steel into the freezing Arctic Circle, 1,500 miles away from civilization.
Sounds a bit crazy, doesn’t it? But amid the bleak 1950s, when North America was under the threat of a nuclear showdown with the Soviet Union, the West’s solution was the so-called Distant Early Warning Line, or DEW Line, which consisted of 63 manned radar stations about 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle.
And, well, construction material had to be hauled into the freezing terrain somehow.
So keep reading to find out the story of the amazing 1956 Bulldog Convoy in the Arctic, which involved 11 Mack trucks filled to the brim, a couple of bulldozers, and a team of unbreakable men.
Aston Martin Is Ready To Say Goodbye To The Manual Transmission
It feels like the manual transmission is currently under fire and, despite all the evidence that says its days are numbered, it somehow manages to stick around – at least for now, anyway. But, as time goes on, more and more automakers will begin to start phasing it out on mainstream models and sportscars alike. The latest example of this is Aston Martin, which apparently plans to retire its manual gearbox altogether, even if that means breaking promises.
Can this Tesla-powered Ferrari 308 beat the iconic Testarossa?
A drag race between two Ferraris is always a treat, especially when they are both classic. Although CarWow mainly deals in the latest car manufacturers have to offer, they do occasionally do things purely for the fun of it. Such is the case with this video, in which a Ferrari 308 GTS and a Ferrari Testarossa throw down on the track. Essentially, this race is “Magnum PI” versus “Miami Vice,” and normally this race would be an easy win for the Testarossa, but one of these cars is hiding a dirty (also clean) secret.
10 Things the Ferrari Purosangue Needs to Take on the Competition
Ferrari will build an SUV. I am not joking, the company made an announcement. It will be called the Ferrari Purosangue. That’s the official name of the Ferrari SUV. Ok, Ferrari CEO Louis Camilleri implicitly said that he does not want to hear “that word” in the same sentence with the word Ferrari. “That word” being SUV. Ok, Camilleri, I will not do it. Ever. The new Ferrari... truck… will be the most amazing piece of technology ever attempted with the “that word” layout. Luckily, we do know a thing or two about the new Purosangue.
Digression: Is the word crossover any better? Maybe, but I feel it sounds too soft for the status of a Ferrari. The Honda CR-V is a crossover for crying out loud.
The new Purosangue may take a layout similar to what we have been accustomed to with the onslaught of performance SUVs, yet the Italians promised to make it a proper thoroughbred. Incidentally (not really), Purosangue translated from Italian actually means thoroughbred. Is it just me, or the name Ferrari Thoroughbred (in English) wouldn’t sound bad at all? We have a Superfast and we like it, don’t we? Enough with the strange ideas. Purosangue it is.
Christopher Smith of Motor1 explained how to pronounce it:
“PUR-o-SAN-gue. There are four syllables, with emphasis on PUR and SAN. Phonetically speaking, start with PUR, as in a cat purring. From there just say a soft O as in oh, then SAN with a long A sound like saahn, and finish with GUE, which sounds like way but starting with a g – gway. PURR - oh - SAAHN - gway. See? It’s totally easy.”
The Renault MeganeE Could Strengthen Renaults Electric Foothold in Europe
Renault recently revealed the 5 Prototype – the car that will eventually revive the Renault 5 name. Before that, however, Renault revealed the Megane eVision concept, which not only served as a visual representation of the company’s future plans but as a basis for the new prototype that you see here: The Renault Megane E-Tech or Renault MeagneE for short. It’s not a production model just yet, but one of 30 prototypes that Renault is putting into the testing phase as it prepares for (hopefully) a 2022 launch.
This Twin-Turbo Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Is Downright Ridiculous
The Ford Mustang Shelby 500 is the poster child for modern-day muscle car performance, but Ford Performance could have pushed it easily into supercar territory. What’s my basis for that statement? Well, I’m about to show you a video of a 1,250-horsepower Shelby GT500 that will absolutely decimate just about anything on the track.
2022 Ford Maverick - A New Compact Truck Aimed At The Hyundai Santa Cruz
Ford has come up with a new compact pickup truck called the Maverick. The Maverick was leaked and spotted multiple times in the past. Ford teased in last week and gave us a glimpse of what to expect. Now, the truck is finally out. The Maverick will serve as the entry-level truck in Ford’s lineup and will slot below the Ranger. It will be offered with two different engine options, including a hybrid, with front-wheel-drive configuration as standard and an all-wheel-drive system as optional. The best part, however, is its price. The 2022 Ford Maverick is launched with a starting price of $19,995. Not bad, huh?
It’s Easier Than You Think To Make Your BMW 3 Series (E46) Faster to 60 MPH
Building a budget-friendly project car for racing purposes is a goal for many car and motorsport enthusiasts. Luckily, even if you’re not officially versed in the art of wrenching, it is possible to achieve this. This is, in no small part, thanks to channels like ChrisFix. Despite his age, Chris has already proven quite a capable mechanic and his videos are highly informative. This time, it’s all about weight reduction on his BMW 330ix project race car and we’ll see just how much you can remove and how it affects performance.
The 2022 Toyota Tundra Could Make the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500 Shiver With Fear
Toyota has managed to keep most of the 2022 Tundra close to home, with next to no information leaking out thus far. We do know that it’ll feature a familiar look, better safety equipment, and it’s supposed to be a “best in class, world beater” truck. Expected to be revealed sometime later in 2021, we have a lot of questions, but we now know there’s one thing we don’t have to worry about: Power. And that’s because the new Tundra will have a whole lot of it.
Bugatti Debuts The Chiron Super Sport As The 14th Iteration Of The Chiron
On one hand, you have automakers that come up with anniversary or special editions of their models once in a while. On the other hand, you have Bugatti – a company that has been milking the Chiron with no end in sight. The latest iteration of the Chiron – the 14th model – is called the Chiron Super Sport. The company revealed it a day after teasing it. It is pretty much the same as the Super Sport 300 that was launched a couple of years back. Bugatti says this is more comfortable as a daily driver and has a higher top speed – 273 mph as opposed to 261 mph.
