2022 Kia Telluride
Kia launched the Telluride SUV at the 2019 Detroit Auto show as an eight-seat competitor to the Honda Pilot and Volkswagen Atlas. It shares underpinnings with the Palisade but, despite being basked on the 2016 Telluride Concept, is shares very little with the vehicle it was based on. Being just two years old as of the time of this writing, you wouldn’t expect Kia to give the Telluride any kind of update at all, yet that’s exactly what the company has done for the 2022 model year. There isn’t a whole not of new for 2022, but Kia has made a few adjustments to bring the Telluride into scope of its competition.
The exterior has been enhanced just a bit with an updated radiator grille and new emblems. The trim level emblems and AWD emblems are darker and feature a different finish. The interior now features a new 10.25-inch infotainment display, fully automatic temperature control and highway driving assist is now available on the LX and S trims. The Telluride didn’t come with any updates under the hood, though, but the 3.8-liter V-6 is still plenty powerful with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. There will still be four trims in total – LX,S,EX, and SX, and you can opt for FWD or AWD across the lineup. Pricing starts at $32,790 for the LX with FWD or $34,790 for the LX with AWD. The range-topping SX-P commands a starting price of $46,890.

The 2022 Audi RS3 promises to retain the formula of the 1980s, turbocharged, inline-five, all-wheel-drive, 1980s Audi Quattro. The philosophy “evolution, not revolution” is often synonymous with the Porsche 911, but it appears that Audi is also (partially) following the same recipe. About 40 years ago, they gave us the boxy Quattro – a turbocharged, five-cylinder, all-wheel-drive rally monster that dominated the scene. Now, we still get the same basic recipe, but in a more modern, more practical shape, in the form of the Audi RS3, and for 2022, the super-hatch is even better.

One could easily argue that the Skyline name belongs to Nissan. It brings back memories of cars like the 1957 Nissan Prince Skyline and, more importantly, cars like the R32, R33, and R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R – the godfather of Godzilla itself, the current Nissan GT-R. The name has been kept alive in certain markets as a sports sedan – the same car we call the Infiniti Q50 here in the States, and now it seems a new Skyline could be coming the U.S. market. The catch? If it happens, It’s not going to wear a Nissan badge but a Ford or Lincoln badge instead.
A $7 Part Killed the $3.25 Million Valkyrie’s Debut Run At the Goodwood Festival of Speed
A Cosworth-built 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V-12, 11,000 RPM, hybrid powertrain, 1,160 horsepower (865 kilowatts). Those are just some of the astonishing numbers of the $3.0+ million Aston Martin Valkyrie. The car is able to hit 60 mph (97 km/h) in under 3.0 seconds and only 150 units will be produced with deliveries starting in September. Moreover, there is an even rarer Valkyrie AMR Pro, limited to just 40 units. Nevertheless, the Valkyrie’s debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed turned out to be less than glamorous, as the car had an unexpected malfunction during the hill climb.
The 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Is Almost $4k More Expensive Than Ford Maverick
Hyundai has announced that the Santa Cruz pickup will go on sale at the end of July 2021. It will carry a price tag of $23,990 for the entry-level, FWD, SE model, while the range-topping limited trim with the 2.5-liter turbocharged engine and AWD will command a steep price of $39,720. In comparison, the new Ford Maverick starts out at just $19,995, and it’s coming from an automaker that knows a thing of two about trucks. It will even be offered with an FX4 package that will being with it more off-road capability, but with AWD vs. 4WD. The Santa Cruz will offer up to 275 horsepower, which isn’t bad for a smaller truck, which might be its strongest selling point as the range-topping Maverick will come with just 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque from a turbocharged, 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder.
