As the spiritual successor to the legendary E-Type, the Jaguar F-Type has been the halo sports car for Jaguar Land Rover for almost a decade. After unveiling the first F-Type concept in 2000, Jaguar debuted the coupe in 2013. The current iteration of the sports car was face-lifted in 2019, which gave the F-Type more visual flair and more modern tech. However, it seems that Jaguar is bidding goodbye to this remarkable sports car as the brand plans to welcome electrification. The special edition F-Type 75 and the F-Type R 75 is a reminder of the brand’s rich heritage of building ICE-powered sports cars for 75 years.

The F-Type has always sported sharp and supercar-like aesthetics, which made it a star among other Jaguar cars. Both the F-Type 75 and the F-Type R 75 have similar design cues as the other face-lifted F-Types with some changes to make them look like special edition models. For example, the front has the same sleek headlights with the signature J-shaped DRLs, but depending on the model, you will see F-Type 75 and F-Type R 75 plaques on the front fenders. In addition, both models will have distinctive 20-inch wheels with a 10-spoke gloss black design. The model previewed is finished in Giola Green Metallic, among other exclusive touches, and looks a class apart. If you want optimum braking performance, Jaguar will be happy to fit your F-Type 75/F-Type R 75 with carbon ceramics with yellow calipers.

Inside the cabin, subtle touches include stainless steel door sills and a special silhouette motif on the dashboard above the 10-inch touchscreen display. The sports seats are new and come with Windsor leather. In addition, the headliner now sports a suede-cloth touch, and the overall interior is quite dark. You will have the usual leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, a 12.3-inch driver information display, and a busy center console.

Unlike other markets, the U.S. only has the V-8 powertrains, not the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. However, the special edition does not pack more powerful engines under the hood. Instead, the F-Type 75 is powered by a familiar 5.0-liter supercharged V-8, which cranks 444 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque. Bumping up to the F-Type R 75 will unlock more power from the same engine, 575 ponies and 516 pound-feet of twist. Jaguar claims that the F-Type R 75 can sprint to 60 mph from a standstill in 3.5 seconds.

While Jaguar did not choose to increase the engine power figures, it certainly made some changes to the chassis to give the 75 special edition models a sportier drive. Both models feature Adaptive Dynamics, which enhances the steering feedback, and an electronic active rear differential with increased camber and toe stiffness. U.S. pricing is not available at the moment, but in the UK, the 75 limited edition starts at £78,330 ($87,000 approximately) and goes up to £108,065 ($119,920) for the convertible F-Type R 75. Jaguar has started taking orders for its last iteration of the F-Type, and if you have already ordered one, you will receive your exclusive F-Type 75 at the beginning of 2023.
