This is a cycle you also cannot afford unless you dream of it. Literally dream.

To become a worthy successor of the great Bugatti Veyron, it takes a great deal of commitment and sacrifice, even by the people who made it in the first place. Luckily, the French chaps have pulled off a great feat and have given the world the Bugatti Chiron. A car, an uncompromised piece of machinery that has no comparison to anything on the road. And also that it proves that the wealthy live a different way of life than the rest of us.

The French brand is at it once again in reminding us that we’re still peasants. But this time it has nothing to do with horsepower or four wheels. Instead, it is a two-wheeled cycle that Bugatti is making in collaboration with PG, the premier cycle guys from Netherlands. It does, however, share a few things from the car – It is a piece of art, has a lot of carbon fibre and it costs money. Sh*t loads of it.

Coming from the people who built a luxury hypercar that comes with the history of being the fastest road car in the world, this cycle is also going to hold records – to be the most expensive and the lightest cycle in the world. With 95% of the bike made with reinforced carbon, it weighs in at just 5 kilos. YES!! Less than a watermelon!

The PG Bugatti bike (we still don’t know if that is what they christened it be called, or it’s just named off the people who made it) is also going to be a very exclusive grandeur limited to only the elite clientele, just like the Bugatti Chiron. And with each of the limited 667 units costing a whopping $40,000 (excluding import duties), you better wish your father’s ancestors left you with a lot of spare $$$.

Coming to the features you get on this, you get none! You don’t get a million gears, no disc brakes nor any shock absorbers. What you rather get is a single-speed, single seat, single wheel brake, belt-driven cycle with a lot of carbon-fibre. Bugatti has done all the design aspect on this while PG built it. The technological prowess of both these powerhouses came together to make something this extraordinary and tech-filled thing, all made out of exotic materials and hand-made construction. Stuff you would otherwise find under the roof of NASA and aeronautic giants.

At least with that much money, they ask for it, they will give you the satisfaction of customising it to the details of your car, the Chiron of course. ’Special paints, carbon in various colours, numerous types of leather and, of course, the Bugatti pearl oval make the Bugatti bike the perfect supplement for the 1,500 PS dream car.’

The bike comes with a vertical shock absorption bar which is said to improve comfort substantially. The carbon fibre frame on this bike is made by people who also work on Formula One components. The wheels that go on this are also handcrafted by the same blokes that supply to the Tour de France. Every part you see on the bike is manufactured in Germany and crafted using optimal techniques which ultimately make this bike as light as it is.

This unrivalled urban bike has nothing like it on the roads, and according to Bugatti, this was not built to end up on public roads. They say “The special bike is a piece of sports equipment which is not intended to be used on public roads”. Where would they want us to use it then? Maybe on roads built of silk, gold and diamonds!? It’s like buying a Vertu phone (an expensive mobile), but then restrict you from making calls on them.

Top notch construction, exquisite materials, striking design and an exorbitant price tag. All of them fall in line with Bugatti’s builds that are more of a garage queen rather than a supercar you can hoon at your favourite racetrack. The new dream machine of the 21st century gets a dream bike of the 21st century, and it’s simply called as - Bugatti PG.
