2018 GMC 3500HD Denali by Rolling Big Power and Keaton Hoskins

2018 GMC 3500HD Denali by Rolling Big Power and Keaton Hoskins

Now this is what we call a handicap-accessible vehicle!

The GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali by Rolling Big Power and Keaton Hoskins is a one-off truck that showcases custom features designed for disabled people. Unveiled at the 2019 SEMA Show, this truck was created by Rolling Big Power, an industry leading manufacturer of aftermarket parts and Keaton “The Muscle” Hoskins from TV’s “Diesel Brothers.” It is based on the older, third-generation Sierra 3500HD Denali.

The truck was built for Jonathan Barber, who was involved in a coal-mining accident in 2017 that left him paralyzed from the chest down. Fitted with a 14-inch lift suspension, this bespoke Denali truck also features a gullwing door, hydraulic chair lift, and twist-handle controls for throttle and brakes, all designed to make life easier for its disabled driver. It’s fancy on the outside and practical on the inside, but it’s also special enough to draw a lot of onlookers at the SEMA Show or other truck-specific events. In other words, it’s a handicap-accessible show rig that we don’t get to see too often.

2020 Ford Mustang Jack Roush Edition by Roush Performance

The ultimate Roush Mustang; more powerful than the Shelby GT500

The 2020 Ford Mustang Jack Roush Edition is a high-performance version of the sixth-generation Mustang designed by Roush Performance. Unveiled at the 2019 SEMA Show, the Jack Roush Edition is more than just another beefed-up Mustang. This special-edition model celebrates the legacy of its founder, Jack Roush, who was recently inducted in the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

Although it’s not particularly more aggressive than other Roush-made Mustangs, the Jack Roush Edition is the most powerful vehicle created by the American firm. Rated at 775 horsepower, it packs more punch than iconic Mustang nameplates like the Shelby GT500 and the Shelby Super Snake. Let’s find out more about this powerful beast in the review below.

2020 Nissan Global Time Attack TT 370Z

2020 Nissan Global Time Attack TT 370Z

There’ve been many 370Z race cars throughout the years but this is one of the baddest of the bunch

Nissan unveiled a Time Attack-spec Nissan 370Z built by Z1 Motorsport in conjunction with Nissan Motorsport that is bound to take the world of time attack racing by storm. With 750 horsepower on tap thanks to a pair of Garrett turbochargers, this 370Z is one of the craziest you’ll ever see. The widebody is made entirely out of carbon fiber, the interior is bare, and, to shed even more weight, the body was acid-dipped. In other words, the guys at Nissan and Z1 Motorsport stopped at nothing in their mission to turn what many consider an outdated sports car into a record-breaking track beast.

2020 Indian Challenger Limited

2020 Indian Challenger Limited

The Limited Is The Toppest-Shelfest Challenger In The 2020 Lineup.

No doubt about it, Indian Motorcycle entered a new chapter with its all-new Challenger line and PowerPlus engine, and so far, the toppest-shelfest example of that combination is the 2020 Challenger Limited. It has that custom bagger style that Americans like so much along with a host of electronic goodies that improve safety and comfort over the long haul. Of course, the 120-plus pound-feet of torque it brings to the table doesn’t hurt at all, neither does all the historical Easter eggs the factory scattered about to tie into its own storied history.

2020 Volvo XC40 Recharge

Volvo’s first-ever fully electric car

Mazda has the MX-30. Volkswagen has the ID.3, and the ID.4 is almost done brewing. Porsche has the Taycan. Mercedes-Benz has the EQC and Audi the e-tron. BMW had the i3 and is now cooking the i4, while Jaguar relies on the I-Pace, so Volvo couldn’t just sit around and watch the competition get ahead. So there it is, the Swedish carmaker’s first-ever electric car, which opens the avenue for a downfall of EVs grouped under the Recharge moniker. Ladies and gents, let’s meet the new Volvo XC40 Recharge.

2019 Audi SQ8 by ABT Sportsline

2019 Audi SQ8 by ABT Sportsline

If torque’s your game, this tuning kit should be right down your alley

The Audi SQ8 isn’t the most violent version of Audi’s Q8 SUV lineup. That spot is reserved for the RS Q8. But the SQ8 TDI is potent enough in its own way, and when you get the involvement of noted Audi tuner ABT Sportsline, the result is a face-mashing performance SUV that produces enough torque to make the range-topping RS Q8 feel redundant. The German tuner’s new program for the SQ8 SUV is a masterclass in the art of tuning upgrades. It comes with subtle but important exterior and interior upgrades that complement the power and performance gains that also come with the whole package. The tuning kit is specced specifically for the SQ8 TDI so if that’s your thing, you shouldn’t miss out on this program. If you prefer the gas-powered version that lacks the low revs and fake exhausts, you might as well just wait for the Audi RS Q8 to arrive towards the end of the year. Either way, it’s a can’t-lose proposition.

2021 Genesis GV80

2021 Genesis GV80

Hyundai’s first luxury SUV will arrive in 2019

The Genesis GV80 is the luxury brand’s first-ever SUV. The hauler is scheduled to break cover in 2019 and we’ve already seen it being tested on public roads. The crossover will share design cues with the G80 sedan and borrow much of its underpinnings from existing Genesis products.

Envisioned in the early 2000s while Hyundai was developing the first-generation Genesis sedan, the Genesis brand was officially established as a standalone marque in November 2015. And since then, things progressed incredibly fast. The flagship G90 was launched in late 2015, followed by the slightly smaller G80 in early 2016. In 2017, Genesis launched its third vehicle, the G70, which is smaller than the G80 and aimed at the compact premium market. 2017 also brought the GV80, a concept that previews the company’s first SUV. What’s particularly interesting here is that unlike other brands, Genesis jumps on the SUV bandwagon with a full-size vehicle. Specifically, the GV80 will go against the Mercedes-Benz GLS and the BMW X7. Obviously, the big question is whether Genesis will be able to give its competitors a run for the money. I won’t be able to provide an accurate answer until it hits showrooms, but let’s take a closer look at what we already know about this SUV.

Updated 10/27/2019: Genesis is preparing to launch the GV80 next month at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. Before that the car has been taken to one final testing session around Nurburgring.

2020 Jaguar F-Pace

2020 Jaguar F-Pace

The F-Pace is in line for a bunch of cosmetic changes and possibly a mild-hybrid powertrain to complement the existing engines

The Jaguar F-Pace arrived late to the SUV/crossover party. With it, the Indian-owned British carmaker had the intent of crashing the said party, but things didn’t quite go as planned. Although zippy on the asphalt and rather spacious, the F-Pace found it difficult to break the BMW-Mercedes-Audi-Porsche quartet: BMW has the spirited driving baked into every SUV it churns out, Mercedes-Benz relies heavily on comfort and plushness, while Audi ticks the material quality and hi-tech design boxes first and foremost, and Porsche kind of has everything. The Volvo XC60 is also lurking around, as is the Range Rover Velar. Yet a new set of spy shots hints at a redesigned F-Pace. Has Jaguar learned its lesson? Stick with us to find out.

2020 Porsche 911 Targa

2020 Porsche 911 Targa

The same familiar formula is still relevant

If you like the Targa top in your Corvette, you must know that Porsche did it first, in 1967. Now, the 992-generation of the ageless Porsche 911 continues the tradition and the latest Porsche 911 Targa will be introduced as a 2020 model year car and will feature the 444 horsepower 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged flat-six seen on both the Carrera S and the Carrera 4S. Expect it to cost at least $135,000, some $22,000 more expensive than a Carrera S. Blame it on that roll hoop that’s drenched in history.

Once upon a time, there was a road race through Sicily’s narrow, winding roads that awarded those that proved to be unphased by angry locals, that sometimes drew guns on the competitors, and the perilous condition of the tarmac in many areas of the Circuito delle Madonie. That race was the Targa Florio, launched in 1907 by rich entrepreneur Vincenzo Florio, that became a sort of a favorite for Porsche and its drivers, the brand from Stuttgart winning the race 11 times in less than two decades. How is this relevant to a 2020 Porsche? Read on to find out.

Updated 10/22/2019: The upcoming 911 Targa (992) has been spied once again making its rounds on public roads.

2020 Audi RS7

2020 Audi RS7

The Audi RS7 returns with a more powerful engine and a mild-hybrid setup

The 2020 Audi RS7 is the second generation of the company’s range-topping four-door coupe. Based on the latest A7, the 2020 RS7 features a far more aggressive exterior design, a completely new interior packed with premium features, state-of-the-art technology, and a powerful drivetrain. The latter combines a revised version of Audi’s 4.0-liter V-8 and a 48-volt system that improves fuel efficiency. The 2020 Audi RS7 arrives just in time to take on the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe and the upcoming BMW M8 Gran Coupe.

The 2020 Audi RS7 will join the standard A7 and the mid-range S7 in the U.S., where it will cost in excess of $100,000. Estimates put it at around $120,000, which will make it slightly more affordable that the competition. The 2020 RS7 is one of the many new Audis to feature mild hybrid drivetrains as the German firm is moving more and more toward electrification.

2020 Porsche Taycan

2020 Porsche Taycan

The Mission E concept goes into production as Porsche’s answer to the Tesla Model S

The Porsche Taycan is an all-electric sports sedan based on the Mission E concept. It’s also Porsche’s first-ever production electric car, designed to go against the Tesla Model S. Previewed by the Mission E concept, the Taycan sports design features borrowed from the show car, but also includes styling features seen on the Panamera sedan and 911 sports car. Powered by a couple of electric motors, the Taycan generates in excess of 700 horsepower in its range-topping version.

While considered laughable just a decade or two ago, the idea of a high-performance electric vehicle is now widely accepted in even the most traditional of speed circles. Porsche took full advantage of this and designed a sleeker Panamera that’s notably more powerful and quicker. Granted, it’s not as spectacular as the Mission E concept, but it’s definitely an exotic appearance even when compared to full-fledged sports cars. However, does it have what it takes to compete with the Tesla Model S? Let’s find out in the detailed review below.

Updated 10/14/2019: Porsche added a new member to its Taycan lineup. The new Taycan 4S has been announced in two different battery configurations. Check the Drivetrain section for more details.

2020 Ford Mustang R-Spec

2020 Ford Mustang R-Spec

A Hot Mustang for those living Down Under

Once you see it, you can’t quite unsee it and for all the good reasons. This is the Ford Mustang R-Spec, a GT-based limited-edition variant built in RHD only for the Australian market that features a plethora of Ford Performance parts, a Roush supercharger, and an active exhaust. That makes it the first supercharged Mustang to be sold through Ford dealers. With all the goodies that have been crammed in the R-Spec, power goes all the way up to 700 horsepower and 610 pound-feet of torque or about 170 horsepower and 180 torques over the Mustang Shelby GT350. At $67,500 in Oz, this could just be a great bang for the buck if you can get your hands on one of the 500 examples that will be made.

It’s been five years since Australian Blue Oval fans have been mourning the loss of Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV), Ford Australia’s division that used to turn around the really quick Fords at the antipodes. While nothing can replace a Falcon with all of FPV’s go-fast features added to it, the R-Spec Mustang is a nice addition to the sports car’s lineup in Australia where, until now, all you had to choose from when it came to ’special’ Mustangs was the Bullitt - and only 700 of those have been made for the 2019 MY (the R-Spec is part of the 2020 MY Mustang lineup).
