The BMW M4 CSL Could Make the M4 Competition Look Weak
The CSL moniker will be back with the latest, G82 generation, BMW M4. A prototype was spotted not long ago, with most of its camouflage taken off. It seems BMW is doing the same thing as Mercedes does with their upcoming SL., slowly uncovering parts of the car. The current M4 is already a very capable car with 473 horsepower (353 kilowatts) or 503 horsepower (375 kilowatts) in the M4 Competition. As before, the M4 CSL promises to turn things to 11. More carbon fiber and more power, 540 to be exact. And it will hit the ground through the rear wheels only.
2022 Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse
Indian subjects its new Chief platform to the homegrown-custom treatment to turn out the new Chief Bobber Dark Horse. Liberal blackout treatment adds another spice to the already custom-flavored Bobber as it seeks to connect to the homejob bikes of old. In spite of its attempt to channel the antique, the factory packs in lots of the modern with its Thunder Stroke 116 engine and under-the-hood electronic wizardry that promise to help you keep the thing dirty-side down.
Audi’s New RS Q E-Tron Off-Roader Takes Extreme to the Next Level
Audi is planning to participate in the 2022 Dakar Rally with what has to be one of the most extreme off-roaders we’ve seen so far this year. The RS Q E-Tron is an EV, yet there’s also a TFSI gasoline engine borrowed from DTM that serves as a range generator that will allow it to run constantly without charging. If this is the reason Audi decided to ditch Formula E, then I have to admit that I whole-heartedly agree with its decision.
2022 Volkswagen Passat Limited Edition
The Volkswagen Passat is officially dead in the United States. Well, not quite yet, but it’s definitely taking its last breaths as Volkswagen prepares the Chattanooga plant in Tennessee for production of the Atlas, Atlas Cross, and all-electric ID.4. As the U.S. market bids farewell to the Passat, it’s going to honor it in the only way it knows how – a special edition. The car you see here is just one of four configurations, with a total of 1,973 examples being built. Why 1,973? Because 1973 was the first year the Passat was offered.
Volkswagen will produce 411 examples of the Passat special edition in a combination of Aurora Red Metallic with a Titan Black interior. This model represents the original production code of the Passat – 411. Next, there will be 423 examples of the passat finished in Racing Green Metallic with a Mauro Brown interior. 423 represents the Chattanooga, TN area code. Another version finished in Pure White with Mauro Brown interior will be produced in just 524 examples, representing the opening date of the Chattanooga plant: May 24, 2011. Finally, the fourth iteration of the Passat special edition will be offered in Grey Metallic with a Titan Black interior. 615 represents six generations of imported Passats (6), one generation assembled in Chattanooga (1), and 5 decades of U.S. sales (5).
Outside of the exclusive exterior paint and interior theme, there’s not a whole lot to set the Passat special edition apart from the pack. The seats inside will feature a “x of 1973” tag on one side and “Chattanooga 2011” on the other. Comfort sports seats will come standard with Vienna leather while the exterior will ride on distinctive 18-inch, fifteen-spoke wheels. Pricing for the Passat special edition comes in at $30,295 but the Aurora Red Metallic will add an extra $395 to the ticket.
2022 Nissan Pathfinder - What You Need to Know
Nissan unveiled the all-new fifth-generation (R53) Pathfinder back in February. It was scheduled to go on sale in the summer. Well, the wait is finally over. The Pathfinder went on sale earlier this month.
This model has been overhauled from the ground up. It receives a far more rugged exterior and a modern yet functional interior. There are four trims to choose from. S, SL, SV, and top-spec Platinum.
The New Mercedes SL’s Interior Is Clearly Inspired by Jar Jar Binks
Mercedes is slowly “undressing” the next-generation SL and by now we have a pretty good idea of how it would look when it finally comes out. We also know that it’s the first SL, developed by AMG, alongside their AMG GT model, so it will be, by far, the sportiest interpretation of the model yet. Something else we recently found out about the German gran tourer is how the interior looks and, it appears, the interior designers, although they’ve done a great job, may have watched a bit too much Star Wars.
This Tesla Model S Plaid Roars And Grunts Like A Dodge Hellcat!
Switching to EVs isn’t just the next step into the future. It’s a friggin’ paradigm shift. One of the things that is putting off a lot of people is how silent EVs are. If you’ve been driving an internal combustion-engined car for decades, EVs will disappoint you in the aural department. While many governments have mandated that EVs come with external speakers to notify pedestrians about the EV approaching them, Tesla has taken this to the next level.
Tesla allows you to use any soundtrack for the external speakers, and YouTuber Brooks Weisblat from Drag Times showcases the same on his Tesla Model S Plaid. In his latest video, he has enabled the Dodge Hellcat’s sound on his Plaid and it is weirdly incomprehensible to us.
2022 Volvo C40 Recharge - The Swedish Automaker’s Crossover With A Sloping Roofline
Volvo announced the C40 Recharge for the U.S. market back in March this year. It is essentially a crossover version of the XC40. The U.S. market is known to welcome crossover coupes with arms wide open and Volvo accepted the invitation. For the 2022 XC40, Volvo introduced two new trims – Plus and Ultimate. But, the C40 will be offered only in the top-spec Ultimate spec. Aside from the looks, it comes with a premium cabin and a ton of creature comforts. The downside, however, is the range. The C40 Recharge is offered with a range of 210 miles, which isn’t too impressive for a vehicle that costs close to $60,000.
2021 2022 Honda Monkey Bike
The original Honda Monkey Bike of 1961 was an astonishing deviation from the company’s serious business of making giant-killing motorcycles of ever-increasing capacity, culminating with the CB750, the first Japanese superbike in 1969. Introduced into Europe in 1967, it remained in production up to 2017 in its original 50cc version. With the release of the Honda Grom, it wasn’t long before a Monkey bike version was released. Now 125cc, it has been further updated for 2022.
2022 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II
Audi’s R8 track-only lineup is getting bigger and better. The R8 LMS has 83 driver titles and 106 additional championship victories under its belt already. To make sure this record only gets better in the future, the company has come up with an Evo II iteration of the LMS GT3. It features a new wing, a redesigned air intake, and an upgraded suspension setup amongst other things. It breaches the half-a-million-dollar mark after price conversion.
Tang Orange Pearl Is The Right Color For the Koenigsegg Jesko
I think we can all agree that certain cars are made for a certain color. When it comes to super-fast high-performance machines, there are usually two ways to go about it. Either go for a dark and sinister look (think of the Koenigsegg Thor and Vader models of the Agera) or you can go with a very bright, visible from 10 miles, exterior finish, which is exactly the case here. What we are looking at is a rare pre-production version of the Koenigsegg Jesko, finished in Tang Orange Pearl, with silver and carbon-fiber elements. This is actually a homage to the Koenigsegg CCR, which back in 2004, featured the exact same color scheme.
2022 Indian FTR Rally
Indian Motorcycle’s Joe Public, dual-surface version of its podium sweeping FTR 750 racebike, the FTR Rally, sees a number of improvements ahead of model year 2022. A refined powerplant drives this model along with expanded electronics and an off-road bias in the rider’s triangle, elements that play right into the “Rally’s” multi-surface capabilities. It comes naked, but a robust accessories lineup lets you gear up for proper rally riding or good old-fashioned globetrotting work.
A New Chinese EV Crossover Will Have Over 620 Miles of Range
EVs have slowly been rising in popularity and have proven to be an alternative to the internal combustion engine, at least to an extent. The introduction of solid-state batteries is expected to bring EVs to the next level, although they are far from mass production. However, the Chinese carmaker GAC could get ahead of the game with their latest Aion LX. While many EVs currently on sale struggle to do 350 miles on a single charge, the new Aion LX promises over 620 miles (1,000 km) of emissions-free driving.
RAM Believes Electric Trucks Shouldn’t Come With Compromise
Ram officially announced the electric 1500 a couple of weeks back without a whole lot of details. Ram’s parent company, Stellantis, celebrated an EV Day earlier this month wherein announced EVs from Dodge and Jeep, and of course, Ram. The 1500 EV’s production is slated to commence in 2024, but this could give it an edge over its rivals – which arrive earlier – as Ram can study the market better and come up with a well-rounded product right from the launch.
In fact, Ram also resonates with this and is confident of coming up with a truck that will be better than the Ford F-150 Lightning and the electric Chevy Silverado. The company’s brand marketing head noted that the electric 1500 won’t be a compromise. Well, if it’s arriving that late, we really hope it won’t in any aspect.
2022 Porsche Macan
The Porsche Macan has been on the market since 2014. Following a revamp in 2018, Porsche has reworked the Macan once again to make it ready for life alongside an all-new electric model that will shortly join it. With its second facelift, the combustion engine model is buying more time. The upcoming Electric Macan will be the first vehicle to be constructed on the Audi and Porsche PPE (premium electric platform).
