Meet the 2013 EBR 1190RS Carbon Edition. What makes this exotic motorcycle really special is its extra low weight which is rated at only 389 Lbs (176 Kg). To achieve this performance the motorcycle was built using a lot of lightweight materials such as carbon and magnesium components. You also get verious high end parts signed by famous manufacturers such as AIM, Carillo, CP, Del West, Ohlins or Suter.
The motorcycle’s center piece is a liquid cooled V Twin engine with a displacement of 1190 cc. The engine rewards you with a maximum output of 175 Hp at 9750 Rpm and 97 Ft-Lbs at 9400 Rpm. All this power is sent to the ground through a six speed transmission with wet multi-plate, slipper clutch. The engine is fed by a 4.5 gallons fuel tank.
It is also worthy of being mentioned that the 2013 EBR 119RS Carbon Edition rides on sporty 120/70R- 17 front and 190/55R-17 rear tires.

EBR has fully revealed its all new 1190RX. The motorcycle has all it needs to be considered an impressive super sport model as it is fitted with the latest technologies in the business.
Talking about the new EBR 1190RX, Erik Buell declared: “This is the culmination of decades of dedication, innovation and teamwork. We have been working to create a pure rider’s machine and a true world brand.”
The motorcycle weighs only 419 lbs and is built around a 72° V-Twin, liquid cooled, four-stroke engine with a displacement of 72.6 Cu In. (1190cc). Fire up the unit and it will reward you with a maximum power of 185 hp at 10.600 rpm and 137.8 Nm of torque at 8200 rpm.
The motorcycle’s backbone is represented by an aluminum frame with integral fuel reservoir which is paired with an aluminum swingarm.

Erick Buell was once a bigwig at Harley Davidson, having served the role of head engineer and designer of Buell Motorcycles. But when Harley decided to part ways with the sub-brand, Buell likewise left as well, opting to run his namesake brand on his own.
For those wondering how Buell would fare without the financial muscle of Harley Davidson behind him, those questions have been answered with the launch of the company’s new superbike, the unconscionably gorgeous 1190RS.
Defying all the naysayers that said that it couldn’t be done, the 1190RS is a living testament not only to Buell’s fortitude, but also the fact that the company could produce a stunning and technologically advanced superbike on their own. The 1190RS was designed while drawing inspiration from their other previous work - the 1125R - except that the former clearly stands on its own as a superbike serving notice. The frame casting of the bike is all-new while the airbox on the bike is twice the size of the previous version. Other important elements of the bike, including the wheels, suspension, brakes, body, structural components, and controls are all new and stand-alone from anything else Buell Racing has produced in the past.

Buell’s 2010 lineup wouldn’t have been complete without the notorious Ulysses models, the XB12X sportbike and XB12XT sport-touring one. Both motorcycles are powered by the smooth, reliable 1203 cc air-cooled engine and feature the appropriate wheelbase and ground clearance in order to prove efficient both on paved roads and unpaved roads. At a first glance, the Ulysses XB12XT model stands out thanks to the standard side and top cases, but it also comes with heated grips and tall windscreen, like any touring motorcycle should.
Buell likes to consider the 1125CR a modern day café racer and while the perfect blending of class-leading performance with sinister styling and a wicked attitude to push the boundaries of the streetfighter category means they’re not at all far from the truth, we’ll just go ahead and say that this bike is close to being the ultimate in streetfighter performance and style. What qualifies it is the fact that it is pretty much a stripped down 1125R (a veritable superbike).
The Buell Firebolt has been evolving in parallel with the 1125R and in 2010 we find it being characterized by the same qualities as the American company’s superbike model: light weight, razor-sharp agility and torque-rich V-Twin powerplant. These make a potent canyon carver out of this apparently innocent model, but in fact there is much more to it. Buell created the Firebolt for real-world and race track performance, while the unique styling and aggressive ergonomics are meant to deliver intuitive sport bike riding performance at the highest level.
We know that Buell builds their models utilizing the so called Trilogy of Technology - chassis rigidity, centralized mass, and low unsprung weight – in order to achieve great chassis response and while this characterizes the 1125R too, the liter-class superbike category also requires a unique combination of engine performance, precise-and-agile handling, raw sound and performance in order to consider the innovative package complete. These are simple words to describe such a complex motorcycle characterized by unique styling, aggressive ergonomics and premium components combined to deliver the ultimate, intuitive sport riding experience.
Buell has recently launched the 2010 lineup and the implicit press release for it. From there, we’re caught up by the Lightning series, one that is diversified and so allows different categories of riders to find their place on one of the three models available: the XB12Ss, XB12Scg and XB9SX.
Buell’s entry-level segment is pretty much sorted out by the 2009 Blast model, a small, light and versatile motorcycle powered by a simple, but claimed very fuel efficient, 492 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine.
Among all models of the American motorcycle manufacturer, this is the only
one that gets a nice European look, but features such as the aggressive wheels, one-piece seat and belt final drive still set it apart.
With the 2009 Ulysses XB12X and XB12XT, Buell delivers veritable adventure sportbikes that are dynamic performers on virtually any kind of terrain. These are two models that display distinct personalities and allow creative riders to keep the blood flowing by diversifying the type of rides depending for what kind of adventure they’re in the mood in every different day of the week.
None of the two bikes will be taken to Dakar or at the track, but they are build to cover up an infinite number of miles on tarmac, sand, dirt and gravel, while featuring an absolutely original design.
The Buell Firebolt is a model which with refinement, versatility and innovation has managed to attract the motorcycle press on its side and still carries on big time. The 2009 model year is even greater, like the superbike that every single rider could jump one and feel well at home. At least that was the idea when creating it and we reckon that the bike doesn’t come as a disappointment for anyone. Or does it?
In 2009, Buell offers the same diversified lienup featuring unique models that are now improved and which won’t pass unnoticed no matter what. But, one particular model does attract our attention for being brand new: the 2009 Buell 1125CR is a good looking derivation from the now notorious 1125R superbike model built in the United States.
The Buell 1125R enters on a road with no return. This is a bike that follows a continuous ascendant trend on the sales charts, looks original and performs as such. Furthermore, Buell even launched a special Superbike racing version to show the great potential laying in the notorious model and we reckon this is only the beginning.
Many consider the Ulysses a good enough motorcycle which would provide confidence on and off the road, but us, here at TopSpeed like to call it the absolute American Adventure Sport motorcycle. It is an awesome performer when you hit the streets on it, but if the planned shortcut takes you through unpaved roads or even woods, there’s no worry. It will perform excellent and show us once again that the Thunderstorm engine is versatility itself.
Like any true roadster, the Buell Lightning XB12Ss offers a comfortable riding position and passenger seat (not like on a brother of it I recently met).The taller and wider seat together with the 54-inch wheelbase manage to offer a better riding position while keeping the bike as sharp-cornering as ever before.
