Auto Show, Harley-Davidson conducted a live, on-site bike build demonstration of a 2007 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic motorcycle within the Urban Restylin’ Salon presented by Automotive Rhythms. The new FXSTC Softail Custom offers the ultimate ride for those who want to kick back with their feet stretched out for a comfortable solo ride, or with a passenger. The new Twin Cam 96B engine and 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission enhances the ride, while the combination of laid-back chopper-inspired style and the comfort of a two-up seat and backrest is sure to stand out on the street.
As one of the more versatile motorcycles in a diverse family, the Softail Deuce remains a styling leader by getting low and long for 2007. With a lowered suspension reducing seat height by nearly an inch, the Softail Deuce is a custom motorcycle primed for the long ride.
The road is radical for the 2007 FXSTB Night Train, now rolling on a wide 200 mm rear tire with the new Twin Cam 96B engine, 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission and standard Electronic Port Sequential Fuel Injection (ESPFI). A new extended rider footpeg and brake pedal allows the rider to stretch out just that much further.
Just a little or a lot of creativity can give the Softail Standard a personality all its own, or more than likely, that of its owner. Proving that less can be more, the Softail Standard is considered an original long factory custom. It’s also an excellent canvas for customization.
The smooth-riding enjoyment of custom touring aboard the Heritage Softail Classic gets even better with the new Twin Cam 96B engine, 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission and Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI). The Heritage Softail Classic features touring essentials like comfortable riding position with a low seat height, wind protection, passenger room and luggage space, combined with early dresser style and a nostalgic feel.
The FLSTSC Springer Classic digs deeply into Harley-Davidson history for the retro look of a classic Springer front end with deep black powder-coated front forks and chrome shocks and springs. The new Twin Cam 96B engine in black and chrome, 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission and Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) deliver a sweet rider with confident handling.
FLSTN Softail Deluxe sets its sights to the future with a look to the past. A 24.5-inch seat height makes this the lowest Harley-Davidson 2007 model and one of the lowest on the market. The Softail Deluxe is heavy on nostalgic style as a unique paint scheme, beautiful cloisonné and abundant chrome combine with the new Twin Cam 96B engine, 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission and Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) for stunning overall performance.
Only the name is the same on the revised to the FLSTF Fat Boy, which grows bigger, broader and brighter for 2007. Besides more power, 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission and standard Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), the Fat Boy gets funkier and flashier with a major upgrade to its already muscular profile. Start at the back with a new 200mm rear tire and extra chopped rear fender.
The Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) crew has infused the new 2006 limited-edition FLSTFSE2 Screamin’ Eagle Fat Boy with rowdy performance and a lean, urban custom profile. Based on the popular Harley-Davidson FLSTFI Fat Boy, the Screamin’ Eagle Fat Boy features a Screamin’ Eagle 103 Stroker Twin Cam engine tuned to crank out more than 100 ft. lbs. of torque, special custom colors with metal grind accents, and a new steel seat.
Long, low and lean in profile, the FXSTD/I Softail Deuce is a style icon of the Softail line. Its chromed FX front end, raked out 33 degrees, carries a laced 21-inch wheel and low-rise, flat-track style handlebars on a curved riser. The clipped rear fender and low-profile tail light are signature cues that blend seamlessly with a stretched fuel tank and console exclusive to the Deuce. In keeping with the long, low and lean custom profile, the Deuce rolls supremely on 160mm rear rubber that not only accentuates the look but delivers a great-handling ride. Choose from 12 solid, SunGlo and two-tone paint options for the Deuce. Chrome Aluminum Profile Laced wheels are a new option for 2006.
A new, wide bobtail fender covers a fat, 200mm rear tire that gives the FXST/I Softail Standard an imposing new attitude. It’s a long, raked custom look that inspires customization among Softail Standard owners. This is the elemental Softail, with simple styling and clean lines that make the FXST/I the ultimate starting point for personalization. A Chrome Aluminum Profile Laced front wheel and Forged Polished Aluminum Disc rear wheel are available as factory-installed options.
A new 200mm rear tire, Black Slotted Cast Aluminum Disc rear wheel with color-matched belt sprocket and a wider bobtail fender have the already menacing FXSTB/I Night Train looking tougher than ever for 2006. Staggered chrome pipes flash in front of an all-black powertrain with wrinkle-black trim on the engine covers and air cleaner, oil tank and rear fender supports. A black console is perched on the fuel tank. The raked FX front end carries a 21-inch laced wheel. The Chrome Aluminum Profile Laced front wheel and Forged Polished Aluminum Disc rear wheel are available as factory-installed options. Available in Vivid Black, Black Pearl and Black Cherry, of course.
The pure custom styling of the FXST/I Softail Standard makes it the perfect starting point for any owner planning to create a personal interpretation of a classic motorcycle profile. It’s a clean canvas that enables the process of customization with a wide selection of accessories
Designed to offer comfortable touring accommodations with early dresser styling, the FLSTC/I Heritage Softail Classic features ample, 1950s-style leather saddlebags, the protection of a detachable windshield, touring handlebars and a comfortable passenger position with backrest. Laced wheels, passing lights, studded-leather trim and a full-skirted FL front fender over a fat Touring front tire complete a look thatÕs truly classic, but also comfortable for the long road ahead. Chrome Aluminum Profile Laced wheels are available as a factory-installed option
One of the most recognizable motorcycles on the road, FLSTF/I Fat Boy offers a muscular profile with fat tires wrapping disc wheels front and rear. A big chrome headlight mounted on wide handlebars, a custom flared front fender and shotgun exhaust announce its arrival. Parked or rolling, the wide handlebar on the Fat Boy completes the large, aggressive and unmistakably Harley-Davidson look. New for the first time in the history of the Fat Boy, Chrome Aluminum Profile Laced wheels are an available option
The FLSTSC/I Springer Classic slides a fat front tire and clean FL fender between a Springer front end in black powdercoat with a chrome shock and springs. It’s a tough, retro look that’s pure Panhead, enhanced by the front- fender running light, a stamped aluminum tank graphic and wrap-around trim strip, as well as a vintage-style patent label on the oil tank. The crossover chrome dual exhaust system hangs long and low on each side of the rear wheel. The seat features embossed nameplates and a separate passenger pillion that can be removed easily. There is plenty of style, but loads of function, too. The Springer front suspension is engineered to deliver an outstanding ride and precise handling. A Silver Slotted Cast Aluminum disc rear wheel is new. The standard steel laced front wheel can be replaced with an optional Chrome Aluminum Profile Laced wheel.
FLSTN/I Softail Deluxe combines easy-riding comfort with a heavy dose of nostalgia to create an eye-catching custom that’s a joy to ride. It hugs the road on lowered suspension. The pull-back riser and handlebars and 24.5-inch seat height make the Softail Deluxe comfortable for a wide range of riders. It’s also the lowest Softail in the line. Custom details include a tapered chrome luggage rack, checked seat side panels and a chrome grab rail, tapered floorboards with chrome trim and clean front and rear light bars with bullet signals. Wide whitewall tires over laced chrome wheels, distinctive tank and fender emblems and a classic tombstone tail light recall another era. Choose from seven paint schemes, including the two-tone combinations of Glacier White/Deep Cobalt and Glacier White/ Vivid Black. Chrome Aluminum Profile Laced wheels are available as a factory-installed option.
The reintroduced FLST/I Heritage Softail offers the elemental styling traits of the Softail platform - hardtail styling and a rigid-mounted engine - with the classic Harley-Davidson FL "large" front end and wrap-around FL rear fender. The Heritage Softail comes equipped with laced steel wheels, a silver powder-coated engine with polished covers, and floorboards with a heel-and-toe shifter. A new seat design includes a quick-release passenger pillion that can be removed in seconds, leaving the rear fender uncovered behind a solo seat.
