Mugen is famous for their tuning packages for Honda models, but this time the Japanese tuner turned their attention to a Honda motorcycle, the CBR250R to be exact. With the new additions, the Honda is able to give off a more aggressive and sportier ride. This may sound all fine and dandy, but most of us won’t ever be able to take advantage of this package; it’s only available in Thailand.
The first thing to notice about this motorcycle is the red and black color scheme, but there is a lot more to it than that. The rider’s seat and the pillion are also colored in red with Mugen emblems, and the windshield has also been replaced.
The tuner has also added a new set of light alloy wheels, an upgraded chromed muffler, and ABS - a first-class system that includes a Combined Brake System (CBS) and an Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS). However, they did let the 249 cc four-stroke, four-valve single cylinder DOHC engine untouched.
If someone had taken a look at KTM’s RC8 superbike and tried to build one in his own garage couldn’t have done a better job than the one done by Ian McElroy when, inspiring from the Austrian firm’s race-spec bike, has turned a 1987 Honda CBR 1000F into the nasty looking thing pictured above.
The custom bike features angular lines and aluminum hand-crafted fenders as well as a new subframe. In fact, welded sheets of aluminum form the bodywork, while the original 998cc, DOHC 16 valve inline-four was given a tune up using K&N filters and a custom-made exhaust system allowing the engine to breath much better and develop 130 horsepower. That’s worth of the Veypor gauges, which even records G-force, 0-60, quarter mile time and lap time apart from rpm and speed.
It is enough to take a look at the bike to realize that it required a great deal of work and dedication and the fact that it transmits that makes it even nicer. If we could only hear it go down the street…
Honda barely introduced their latest big four model, the CB1100 and Japanese tuner Mugen has already released a package of bits and pieces for future owners to easily turn their nakeds into café racers worthy of the 1970s.
The café racer kit is mainly composed from a silver headlamp cowl and a racy looking seat, while the matt black fenders and sports exhausts are just the right touches to help set this bike further apart from the naked crowd and closer to the café racer one. This Honda CB750 café racer was created by Japanese custom builder Whitehouse together with Japanese retailer Motorimoda and it is actually called CB750 Café Type Motorimoda. What first meets the eye is the 1970s racing styling achieved with the use of modern materials such as carbon fiber, from which several parts have been made. These, together with the aluminum gas tank lighten this custom CB750 with 33 lbs (15 kg).
Underneath the aerodynamic fairing sits an original carbureted, air-cooled, four-cylinder engine that delivers 20hp more than the original production version after being tuned and getting a new exhaust.
So, with less weight, more power and much better looks, this café racer qualifies for the very special price of $29,290.
This Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade streetfighter is the latest and very eye-catching creation to be ridden in style out of the LA shop of custom motorcycle builder and former 250GP racer Roland Sands. The bike has undergone a rather unusual transformation for the supersport category and we can now call it a veritable naked as the full fairing was entirely removed and the top custom motorcycle builder brought in a 2006 Honda Hornet 600 headlight and cowl, while the clip-on handlebars are now replaced by wide, flat ones. It’s good that at least Sands kept the Fireblade’s original fuel tank, seat and rear section, although the standard number plate holder has been removed.
As you can see, this is not the kind of project you invest a lot of money in, but it has to have its fair share of performance parts and accessories, so a Vance and Hines CS One full exhaust system, and Performance Machine wheels, brake calipers, levers and crash bobbins do the trick just fine.
Tuned for charity, the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade streetfighter only needed the magic finishing touch of the custom satin gold/yellow paintjob in order to blink an eye at the enthusiastic future owner.
This previous generation Honda CBR1000RR started life as one of the world’s greatest liter bikes, but then ended up in the hands of the young man at Mugen, who have let their imagination run wild and came up with the craziest looking Fireblade in the crowd. Does this bring the thing up to date or what?
What you see here is a Honda CB750 Four café racer designed and built by WrenchMonkees, a custom motorcycle company in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The 85 horsepower, inline-four engine was entirely rebuilt, while the wiring, wheels and bearings have been completely replaced. An excellent final touch is given by the custom paint and satin grey finish on the forks, triple clamp and engine covers, while the headlight mesh is a nice thing to have on a bike like this too.
With a listed top speed of 112.5 mph (180 kmph) and a $30,000 (DKR 186.800) price tag, this WrenchMonkees creation shouldn’t stay long on the floors of the Danish Museum of Arts and Crafts and the Rojo Artspace in Barcelona, where it is currently exhibited. Read the specs after the break.
We’re all familiar with the Honda CBR1000RR by AD Koncept and the French tuners are now widening our motorcycles & bunnies universe with the introduction of a new Playboy version, this time of the Honda CB1000R.
The first thing that stands out at this attractive streetfighter is the white paintjob (rims included) “spiced” with attractive graphics, including the famous Playboy logo. Also, we shouldn’t forget about the aftermarket accessories such as the engine spoiler, solo seat, rear fender and Rizoma kit composed from footpegs, crash pads, handles and many more.
By replacing the stock silencer with a SC Project GP Evo one and removing the catalizer, the overall weight was reduced with 20 lbs and the engine’s power was increased with 5hp.
We like both the CBR1000RR and CB1000R AD Koncept creations, but simply can’t understand why there aren’t any bunnies around.
French tuner Ad Koncept has come up with a very interesting way to customize the 2009 Honda CBR1000RR, not that much in matters of technical upgrades but more in terms of extremely attractive styling. The new Playboy scheme looks simply awesome on the standard fairing, but we do notice the Ohlins suspension, new Brembo brakes and LeoVince exhaust as well as the Rizoma special kit that was added to the bike.
The new special livery is sure to make this bike stand out even more, especially if it is ridden by one of those bunnies that we all like.
Honda has never even considered building a six-cylinder motorcycle engine to power their late 1970 CBX models, but owners have and this is the best they came up with. Apparently a regular 1979 Honda CBX, but actually being powered by a six-cylinder motor, this bike reflects the fact that manufacturers can fit an enormous engine on virtually any motorcycle and enjoy a great success. I’m counting the exhaust pipes on this thing over and over again and can’t believe how…regular it looks.
What a radical transformation! The way in which the crew at Heiwa modified this series motorcycle – one related to which you don’t hear many “wows” – is simply amazing and it shows that sometimes the real challenges consist in what is unappreciated and left behind.
Details such as the raw heat-forged shifter, the switches on both sides of the oil tank as well as the satin-finished megaphones and fittings make all the difference, but adding a N.O.S system to a 250cc engine is an idea I couldn’t have got not in a thousand years.

All the cycle parts (or almost) was transformed, only the engine, the front framework, the electrical loom and the water radiator were preserved.
The remainder of this HORNET had to be entirely re-examined to give him this demonic look.
