The 2014 KTM 250 XC-F comes with a totally fresh engine, namely a 1-cylinder, 4 stroke, water cooled unit with a displacement 249.91 cm³ (15.2505 Cu In). The engine features a cutting-edge cylinder head with two overhead camshafts and DLC-coated followers. Moreover, you also get the Keihin Engine Management System with electronic fuel injection and 44mm throttle body which further enhances the engine’s performance.

Beside the modern engine, the motorcycle is also equipped with a XC Semi-close ration 6-speed gearbox with a highly compact CSS (coil spring steel) clutch.

The motorcycle features a sporty chassis that includes a lightweight frame made of lightweight, high-strength chromoly steel sections. The light frame is paired with a cast aluminum swingarm that comes with a revised chainguide for 2014.

The 2014 model year has also received a newly developed 48mm 4CS Closed Cartridge fork which features a 4-Chamber-System. Compared to the old model, the new fork is lighter and easier to maintain.
