2014 Moto Morini Corsaro 1200 Veloce

For 2014, the Motor Morini Corsaro 1200 Veloce has received a series of important upgrades which enhance both its performance and appearance.

In terms of style, the new model year comes with standard carbon parts including the windshield, mudgurards and side panels.

At the heart of the motorcycle lies a new RS14 engine which features a new electronic mapping and a dual lambda probe. The engine delivers a maximum output of 135 hp at 8500 rpm and 122 Nm of torque at 6750 rpm. It is also worthy of being mentioned that the new engine delivers a better fuel economy than the old unit.

The unit transfers its power to the rear wheel by means of a six speed transmission with multi-disc wet slipper clutch (APTC).

As far as prices are concerned, the motorcycle can be yours for no less than $21,724.

The engine is housed by a high tensile tubular steel trellis frame which is paired with a Marzocchi Upside Down fork and a fully adjustable Ohlins shock absorber.

The stopping power is handled by a modern Brembo breaking system which includes 298 mm double-discs at the front and a rear 255 mm mono-disc.

The speed is kept in check by a set of capable Brembo brakes with radial pump, semi-floating front discs which measure 298mm and a rear 255 mm single-disc combined with two pistons.

The Moto Morini Granpasso H83 is one of the newest models launched by the Italian manufacturer. The new model has a lot to love, but it manages to stand out from the crowd thanks to its capable V-twin engine. The 87° V-Twin, liquid cooled unit is made in Italy and cranks out a maximum power of 118 hp @ 8500 rpm and 103.6 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. The engine is combined with a similarly sporty six speed transmission and a generous 27 liters fuel tank.

The V-Twin unit is mounted on a high-strength tubular trellis frame which is backed up by a set of capable suspensions. At front you’ll find a Marzocchi Magnum fork with 50 mm-diameter upside down legs, with plates in a cast light alloy, while out back there is a twin swing arm combined with a single shock absorber from Ohlins with piggy back tank. Needless to say, the shock absorber is multi-adjustable with external remote device in length, pre-load, rebound and compression damping.

The Corsaro 1200 Veloce is the sporty version of the Corsaro 1200 and its name means high speed in Italian. The secret behind the Corsaro 120 Veloce’s sporty personality is of course its engine. The Bialbero CorsaCorta unit is as advanced as Ducati’s Testastretta engine and delivers 140 horsepower at 8500rpm and 123 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. Equipped with Brembo brakes, it will provide the best of stopping power, but on that same surface, something that makes us tend to call the Triumph Scrambler a better all-around bike. But we will wait to see for ourselves what the Morini can do and we’ll then give a verdict.
