The 2006 Dodge Amateur National will take place from October 2nd to October 8th and it will be presented by AMP Racing. The world's best amateur racers will descend once again on the Prairie City SVRA in Sacramento, California.

This year's event will feature a 3-moto championship format. Every rider will race the first two motos of their class. The top 40 overall scorers in the first two will advance to the third moto. Class champions will be determined by the best overall score from all three races. New for this year is the addition of 150cc 4-stroke eligibility in the Supermini class. There will also be an 11-15-year-old Open 4-stroke 150cc class.

Pre-entry is open now through September 25th, 2006. The entry fee is $85.00 per class with pre-entry and $100.00 for post-entry. Gate fees are $10.00 per person, per day or $40.00 for the entire event. Overnight parking will be available at the track and camping is free Monday through Saturday night. Gates will open at 2 PM on Monday October 2nd. Practice will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd. Racing will commence at 7:30 AM, per the schedule, Wednesday through Sunday.
