Harley Davidson's Street Glide has been a huge success for the Milwaukee-based manufacturer. Now it is available as a limited edition in the Arctic Blast paint job. Just 500 examples available with a price tag of over $38,000! Despite this, expect it to sell out quickly.

Harley Davidson Street Glide Special in Arctic Blast Colour Scheme

For years, Harley Davidson's Street Glide has been a mainstay of the range. Tracing its parentage back to the 1969 FLH Electra Glide, the bike with the 'Bat Wing' fairing has always sold well.

The limited edition model will be hand-painted by Gunslinger Custom Paint in Colorado and there will be only 500 examples available worldwide, each bike having its unique serial number painted on the gas tank.

Looking extremely retro in blue and white, get up close and you'll see that the paint job is in metalflake, with a shadow honeycomb pattern on the fairing and front fender.

The engine is the 114ci Milwaukee-Eight unit and this Street Glide Special comes with a high trim level. While the base model Street Glide costs $27,099, the Arctic Blast raises that price to $38,99. It comes standard with Harley Davidson's Reflex Defensive Rider System. If you still have some money left over, you can spend $1,699.95 on a matching-painted top box.

Naturally, the bike has had online forums lighting up, with the overall opinion being fairly negative, mainly due to the design of the paint job and the price. Having said that, Harley will no doubt have no problem selling all 500 in pretty short order.
