Aprilia Fan? You've Got five days to get yourself to Misano

Aprilia, after years at the back of the grid, is finally making waves in MotoGP. So, what better time to celebrate the history of Aprilia in racing and on the road.

May 7th will see the world of Aprilia gathering at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli for the Aprilia All Stars event, a day of celebrations and on-track action. The event is "open to the public, free of charge for a day of passion, sport and endless fun for everyone.”

Gates open at 9:30am and activities continue until around 6pm. Current MotoGP stars Aleix Espargaró, Maverick Viñales, Lorenzo Savadori will be present as well as soon-to-be-inducted MotoGP Legend Max Biaggi, who won four consecutive 250cc championships with Aprilia in the late 1990s.

There will be a mouth-watering display of two-stroke Aprilia GP machinery, some of which will be paraded around the track later in the day, after autograph sessions with the riders.

The Aprilia press release states: “Bikes that will be taken on track to mark the 30th anniversary of the very first Aprilia world championship title, scored by Alex Gramigni in 1992. Bikes that have remained in the hearts of every fan and become legendary, like the all-black RSV 250 with which ‘corsair’ Biaggi ruled the world championship in the ‘90s, Loris Capirossi’s number 65 bike, the 125 with which Valentino Rossi won his first title, and the 250 that saw Manuel Poggiali crowned world champion. Bikes that can be admired up close by the public in a lineup on pit lane.”

A line-up of current Aprilia road bikes will be available to take out on guided road rides around the region and one lucky visitor will ride away on a brand new Tuono 660, thanks to a free raffle.

Live music, track action, racing heroes and, with this being Italy, plenty of food and drink

will make this one o the must-attend events for all Aprilia fans, ahead of the September round of the MotoGP World Championship.
