They may be relatively new models, but Aprilia has seen fit to tweak the 660cc models, the Tuono and RS, upgrading the former to Factory specification and the latter gets a limited edition version with a Stars and Stripes paint job.

Aprilia Gets All Patriotic

The 660cc Aprilia models are some of the most accessible Aprilias ever, combining all the dynamic qualities of the 1000cc-plus models but dialling back the insanity levels to those that mere mortals can control.

For 2022, Aprilia is offering two new variants. The first is a 'Factory' version of the naked Tuono 660. This gets upgraded suspension, courtesy of Kayaba at the front and Sachs at the rear. At both ends it fully adjustable.

It also loses 2kg of weight thanks to a new lithium battery and gets a slight power boost to 98bhp and 49.4lb.ft of torque. Aprilia has altered the overall gearing, making it shorter to give much sharper acceleration and added cornering ABS and cornering front lights.

The RS660 gets all patriotic with a Stars and Stripes paint job, celebrating Aprilias success at the MotoAmerica Twins Cup. In addition to the paint job, there's a single seat cover for the pillion seat and the ability to change the quick shifter to run in 'track' pattern, i.e. one up, five down. Aprilia will make 1500 of them.
