Popular auction site Bring A Trailer rarely disappoints when it comes to stunning bikes and a prime example is this uber-exclusive 2017 Confederate P-51 Combat Fighter. The motorcycle has just 150 miles on its odometer, and, if you haven’t figured it out already, pays homage to the legendary P-51 Mustang fighter jet.

2017 Confederate P-51 Combat Fighter For Sale At Bring A Trailer

First unveiled in 2015, only 31 examples of the P-51 Combat Fighter ever went into production, with each bike possessing military-grade aluminum construction with truckloads of standout elements.

This P-51 (#20 out of 31) flaunts a chrome finish from head to toe, topped by blacked-out 19/17-inch carbon fiber wheels and fenders. The most standout design aspect, however, has to be the see-through fuel tank and engine casing which creates a viewing experience like no other. Contrary to the standout design, the bike has a fairly basic cockpit with a clubman-style handlebar, bar-end mirrors, and a semi-digital instrument cluster from MotoGadget.

What about mechanicals, you ask? Well, you’ll be happy to know the mechanicals are as promising as the bike’s appearance. To start off, the bike features a massive 2163cc, V-twin engine pumping out 145 horsepower and 160 pound-feet, courtesy of the S&S Cycle throttle bodies and the Delphi electronic fuel injection. In case you’re wondering, this is enough to propel this 560-pound mammoth to well over 160mph.

Next, the chassis here is a unique monocoque unit sprung on equally exotic girder forks and a Racetech monoshock at both ends. Additionally, braking prowess on this P-51 comes from Beringer 4D discs and triple-pot calipers up front along with a conventional disc and single-pot caliper outback.

What’s The Price?

As you’d expect from a motorcycle so exquisite, this is in no way easy on the pocket. While the last-known retail price of the Confederate P-51 Combat Fighter is a whopping $125,000, the last bid on Bring-A-Trailer’s website is just under $60,000 which makes it a steal. Of course, this is still nearly thrice the price of a modern-day sportbike, but hey, if a brag-worthy collector’s bike is on your bucket list, this is your best bet. At the time of penning this, there are four more days for the auction to close and for the bike to find a new home.
