At the British round of the MotoGP championship, you can bid for various items as used by some of the biggest MotoGP stars, including Valentino Rossi, Marc Marquez and Fabio Quartararo at a special auction in aid of the Two Wheels For Life charity.

You Could Be The New Owner of Rossi's Race Boots

The global pandemic has seen many businesses struggle over the past year but particularly hard hit have been charitable organisations who rely on events to raise funds. With many events having been cancelled or postponed, opportunities for fund-raising have dwindled.

One such event was the annual Day of Champions, a traditional charity day that was a vital fund-raising event for the British Two Wheels For Life organisation. This charity works in Africa to provide transport for doctors and medical supplies into communities that would otherwise be inaccessible for anything other than a motorcycle. With the Day of the Champions event cancelled last year and delayed from this year to 2022, the charity is facing a 60% hole in its funding. The auction at the British MotoGP on the weekend of the 26th to the 29th August.

Up for grabs will be a pair of Valentino Rossi's race-worn Dainese boots, knee sliders from Marc Marquez and a signed helmet visor from current championship leader Fabio Quartararo. Other items available will be race boots from Pol Espargaro, Cal Crutchlow and Jorge Martin (worn during his race-winning ride in Austria).

Also available will be the chance to jump on the pillion pegs of a Ducati MotoX2 two-seater!
