Over the past few years, the motorcycle industry has seen all kinds of electric motorcycles from puny dirt bikes to full-fledged 200HP track weapons, and it’s about time someone moved the goal post.

Doing exactly that, US-based EV-maker Robo Systems has unveiled the Ultra bike, an off-road motorcycle that can literally go-anywhere bike, as you’re about to find out.

Robo Systems Ultra Bike Details

Getting right to the business end of things, the Ultra bike is meant for one thing and one thing only - to push the boundaries of where a motorcycle can go, and yes, that also means crossing rivers.

To make this possible, Robo Systems has equipped the motorcycle with not one but two 1kW hub motors at both ends, giving it a unique all-wheel-drive configuration. This, coupled with equally unique wide (and huge) balloon-type tires, help the motorcycle chart through literally anything - snow, water, sand, or rocks.

In addition, the alloys are actually hollow and offer a 5.3-gallon capacity each to store fuel for the onboard generator.

This brings us to the range. While the 1.6kWh battery pack (charging takes 1 hour) only offers a measly 31-mile range, the Ultra bike packs an onboard generator that runs on gas to charge the battery, virtually giving it infinite range.

Though, this does throw the whole “zero-emissions” and "noiseless" shenanigan right out of the window. Besides all the standard bits, the company even offers an array of accessories for the Ultra bike, including two side-mountable air balloons that'll let you float on water!

Sounds pretty insane, right? Well, I'm afraid it's not all pure sailing. First, there’s no front suspension on offer and the one on the rear is quite basic, meaning you’ll feel every bump on the go. Similarly, features are non-existent as there are only front and rear LED lights on offer, albeit any instrument cluster.
