If you’re looking for a timeless old-school motorcycle, it doesn’t really get any better than the OG 600cc bikes from the early 2000s and one of these, a striking 2001 Suzuki GSX-R600, is up on sale on Bring A Trailer.

The Suzuki GSX-R600 debuted way back in 1992, only to be discontinued two years later in 1994. After a brief hiatus, Suzuki re-introduced the updated GSX-R600 in 1997 with the popular Suzuki Ram Air Direct tech, kickstarting the iconic GSX-R600 lineup which is still on sale in a handful of places.

This particular GSX-R600, though, is the gen-III model, which took shape from the SRAD GSX-R600 and was the first mid-capacity Gixxer to boast fuel injection.

Wrapped in Suzuki’s iconic white and blue livery, the bike looks nothing short of staggering and features eye-catching white alloy wheels and big ‘GSX-R’ logos on the sides. What you see here is all original bodywork with only minor blemishes, meaning the bike was probably kept as a baby.

Backing this up is the semi-digital instrument cluster, which has only 7,000 miles on the odometer. Along with the digi-analog unit, the cockpit also comprises a low clip-on handlebar (mounted below the triple-clamp) and a steering damper.

Underneath the striking bodywork, the 2001 GSX-R600 employed a 599cc, inline-four engine that made 115 horsepower. It’s worth noting that all consumable liquids of the engine were recently replaced in March 2022.

The engine was housed in an aluminum twin-spar chassis while relying on adjustable telescopic forks and mono-shock for suspension duties. Meanwhile, triple-pot Tokico brakes ensured the rider had a leash on this 423 pounds (curb) beast.

In addition to all this, the bike on sale here comes with sticky ZR-rated Michelin Pilot Power tires, a removable rear seat, rear seat cowl, and color-matched frame sliders.
