CFMoto might’ve just made a comeback in the USA with its gas-powered bikes, but it’s progressed well ahead in its home country, China. A prime example of this is the all-new CFMoto 300GT-E, the company’s all-electric police bike built to take down miscreants in an eco-friendly way. Let’s take a look.

CFMoto 300GT-E Electric Police Bike Unveiled

Getting right to it, CFMoto has adopted a cruiser-like, fully faired design for the electric motorcycle, topping it with an angry fascia similar to the 800MT ADV bike.} Like the ADV, you also get an adjustable windscreen here too.

Wrapped in the Chinese police colors, the motorcycle comes with a suite of police-friendly equipment such as LED flashers, saddlebags, and speakers to blast the siren. These aside, CFMoto has thrown in keyless ignition, Bosch ABS, and a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster with connectivity features to accommodate police communications as well as interlink police databases.

What about the powerhouse, you ask? Well, you’ll be happy to know that CFMoto 300GT-E’s performance is comparable to a 200-300cc motorcycle. With its 16.8kW motor, the 300GT-E can reach 120kmph (74mph) and return a decent range of 150km (93 miles). While there isn’t much info on the charging time, CFMoto claims the bike possesses fast charging.

As for underpinnings, the electric motorcycle rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels with single disc brakes, coupled to USD forks and a monoshock. Meanwhile, the whole package tips the scale at a hefty 224kg (494-pounds).

Like what you see? Sadly, it’s not for commercial use (yet) as CFMoto will first start supplying these bikes to the Chinese police and then introduce an e-bike to the public. However, chances are the first commercial CFMoto e-bike will share the specs with the 300GT-E. Plus, since CFMoto’s official back in the States, expect its electric bikes to come here too.

Top Speed Says

Using electric motorcycles in police forces is no new feat and several countries are already doing it. But it’s always good to see new companies (and governments) take up this initiative and promote EVs, which are undeniably becoming the present.

Additionally, the latest patent filings reveal that the company is working out a modular electric platform for its future EVs, meaning CFMoto's electric onslaught is just starting.
