Giving enthusiasts like us to buy authentic race parts used in MotoGP and Superbike Championships

The history of Ducati is driven by unique talents that have always generated motorcycles of unmistakable design and the most profound sporting spirit. Featuring exclusive Desmodromic timing engines, innovative design, and state-of-the-art technology, Ducati’s 90 years of passion, emotions, and excellence put in between two wheels have made us sing gaga’ over beautiful machines.

Now, the Ducati Memorabilia project has been christened by Ducati and Ducati Corse to give us enthusiasts another reason to make saliva bubbles. For the first time, one can purchase certified parts from Ducati machines used in an actual MotoGP and Superbike Championships, ones that have helped legends like Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow beat everyone else to the chequered flag.

The boys at Borgo Panigale are playing Santa this Christmas by making every Ducatista’s dream become a possibility. A chance to decorate their living room with official Ducati components used by MotoGP and SBK team riders, personally certified by Claudio Domenicali, CEO Ducati, and Gigi Dall’Igna, GM of Ducati Corse.

The first batch of such components includes con-rods, crankshafts, camshafts, and pistons, all of which will come along with a technical description and info on the relative rider and world championship season. Every part will come enclosed with a Plexiglas casing that will also be engraved with the name and the bike where it comes from, together with the certificate of authenticity.

But is it a grandee? Well, for one, these pieces will be a limited edition affair, and it also depends on how much of a nut you are for Ducati. As far as a ‘bachelor pad’ memorabilia goes, be sure of getting quite a few stares and comments from guests that will keep you in exaltation. All you will need to do is regularly lubricate it to maintain its appearance as the components are subjected to oxidation over time.

If you are a true collector, you can pick up one of these at the Ducati Store in Borgo Panigale, at Ducati dealerships and, from 2020, also online at www.ducati.com that cheekily says:

Note: the items may only be used for exhibition purpose
