It was the greatest motorcycle toy ever produced: the one toy that every boy wanted: Evel Knievel's Stunt Cycle. Now, it is going back into production so we can all re-live our childhood fantasies.

It's Back: The Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle!

It was the must-have toy in the 1970s: the Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle. There wasn’t a kid in the world who didn’t want one and it sold in its millions, making both the toy maker and Knievel a lot of money in the process.

Times change, however, and the Stunt Cycle disappeared off the shelves of toy shops and we all thought that was that. It became a part of urban folklore, down to being referenced in Toy Story 4 as Duke Caboom, Canada’s Greatest Stuntman, whose toy stunt bike failed miserably to live up to the hype.

But now, all adult children can rejoice as the Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle is back in production. It is being made in America and can be shipped worldwide. This isn’t some cheap imitation but the real thing and will set you back around $39.95. That’s for the original version but there is also an updated model with flexible handlebars and a new helmet for the Evel figurine, at the same price.

For ultimate performance, there is the Pro Series model, which sells for $69.96 and the makers claim it runs straighter and is equipped with uprated bearings.

Now, apparently, it’s only going to be available for a limited time so whether you’re pretending that you’re buying it for your kid or whether you are honest and admit you’re buying it for yourself, stop hanging around and order one now!

Looks like Christmas just came (really) early!
