Harley-Davidson->ke300 and Marvel Comics. If that sounds like an unlikely combination to you, then you're not alone. I had to do a little research, you know, just to make sure I wasn't looking at a parody piece or something. Then I found the official website and if it has an official website, it's a real thing right? My Take On It

I wasn't into the Marvel rags, The Uncanny X-Men and 'Nam were more my speed, but some of the characters are so iconic I think almost anyone will catch the reference. We have a Spider Man Iron 883, and a Fat Boy Lo->ke2785 with graphics inspired by The Incredible Hulk. Groot gets a pair of Street Glide Specials to go alongside Captain America's star-spangled livery. Thor, Ghost Rider, Iron Man and Black Panther get their own bikes as well, along with a handful of others for a total of 25 models and 16 characters. Admit it, your inner geek is giggling, and mine is salivating over the Ghost Rider sled.

Best of all, these bikes are free. That's right, the H-D/Marvel custom bikes can be had for nothing...sort of. You can register to win at their website, but unfortunately the contest is open only to residents of New Zealand and Australia. I'm a little disappointed about that last bit, but the bikes are still fun to look at. In the end it still shows how creative folks can be, and how sometimes the unlikeliest of pairings can work out for the best. Kind of like strawberries, balsamic vinegar and black pepper.....who would have thought?
