You know where you are? You're in the jungle, baby. You're gonna...ride? That's right sports fans, Guns N' Roses is finally back in the music scene with its “Not In This Lifetime Tour” in spite of Axl Rose having famously declared that he'd never play with top-hat wearing guitarist Slash again in this lifetime. I must admit that this is probably my favorite group from all the way back to the days of my misspent youth, and now the newly-reunited rockers have joined forces with another of my favorite marques: Harley-Davidson. It seems to me that these two entities should fit together like peas-and-carrots, and if you're a fan of either, I think you'll agree.

What's The Buzz?

John Burke, Vice President of H-D Operations at Bravado agrees, as it turns out. According to Mr. Burke, “Harley-Davidson and Guns N’ Roses share in common respect for freedom of expression, passion for life and a dedication to adventure. We’re thrilled to be able to bring a unique collection to both Guns N’ Roses and Harley-Davidson fans and celebrate the homecoming of this epic, global tour.

Yeah, we're only talking a line of apparel here, so you'll have to shelve your hopes of scoring that Axl Rose Road King or Duff McKagan Dyna Wide Glide this year. Still, this combination is bound to appeal to a good number of Gen-Xers whose taste in music is no doubt as impeccable as my own. Yeah kiddos, that's real music, not some wanktard with a drum machine and auto-tuner in his mom's basement. “Appetite for Destruction” is probably one of the best albums to come out of that era (unless all your taste is in your mouth).

I'm actually kind of torn here; Gn'R was always kinda associated with anti-establishment rebellion, until they got off the “horse” anyway, so in a way this is the end of an era. To be fair though, H-D is probably the least of the available evils as far as corporate entities go, so the band could certainly do worse in their choice of bedfellows.

The limited-run T-shirt line will come cut for men's and women's wear, and has just become available exclusively through licensed Harley-Davidson dealerships worldwide, because good taste in bikes and jams cannot be constrained by something as silly as political borders. If all this looks like your cuppa tea, ya better hop on that Night Train post haste before the limited-edition run gets snapped up and check out the tour schedule to find out when it's coming to a town near you. Tick-tock people.
