It's not just motorcycles that are going retro these days: there is an increasing demand for retro apparel and this new collection from Harley Davidson in collaboration with menswear label Todd Snyder is almost perfect

Harley Davidson Teams Up With Todd Snyder For New Apparel Collection

Motorcycle apparel has become just as big a money-earner as selling the motorcycles themselves for many companies. Brands such as Harley Davidson, Triumph, Ducati and BMW produce some brilliant garments for both riding and casual wear.

In recent years, the retro, or modern classic, scene has exploded in terms of motorcycles and apparel has not lagged far behind, many people preferring the retro designs more than the contemporary.

The latest collection to drop comes from Harley Davidson, who have collaborated with menswear label Todd Snyder, which already has a retro feel to its clothing. Combine that with Harley's heritage and you get a unique collection of some really cool apparel.

The best thing is that this is a collection that will appeal to anyone, not just Harley riders. As Mens Health magazine described the collection, it's “All of the heritage biker brand’s edge – without the leather chaps,” Thank goodness!

The article goes on to say, “The 119-year-old biker brand let Todd Snyder into its archives – a first for Harley-Davidson – to create an apparel collection that embodies the old-school motorcycle racing spirit, with new takes on the classic pieces that helped form shape motorcycle brand as we know it.” So far, so good.

The vintage-inspired garment range includes sweatshirts, lightweight jackets, graphic T-shirts, and coveralls. As you'd expect from both brands, Harley X Snyder haven't skipped on quality or attention to detail.

It's not as if branded apparel is a new thing. The Snyder press release states that: “Harley launched their first catalog in 1912 to sell parts, accessories, and apparel and I was really inspired by the technical gear-racing sweaters that reminded me of vintage football jerseys—and the graphics, some which were over a century old and others from The Sixties and Seventies.”

The collection can be viewed here or contact your local Harley dealer for more information.
