Remember the 2019 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide, the special edition that had the stunning red and silver two-tone paint job with the “Number One” logo in red and blue on the fuel tank? The Milwaukee-Based company is repeating this glorious accent on its 2020 Road Glide Special model. The factory-installed paint will be limited to 750 models.

Harley-Davidson seems to be having a busy press month with them launching the Fat Boy 30th Anniversary, CVO Road Glide, the Screamin’ Eagle 131 Crate Engine and most recently, the Softail Standard. Entering this month, Harley launched yet another special edition release on the Road Glide Special model carrying a limited spec Two-Tone Paint options only available as installed at the Harley-Davidson factory.

Offering customers the luxury of not having their machines re-painted outside, the Milwaukee brand gave the touring machine new paints with the classic “Number One” logo in red and blue on the fuel tank complementing the Two-Tone Paint options: Billiard Red/Stone Washed White and Billiard Blue/Stone Washed White.

The fuel tank itself is borrowed from the 2020 CVO model. The saddlebag latches are color-matched that feature a Harley-Davidson script logo over the secondary color. On the front fender and the fairing, a wide stripe in the secondary color goes down the center, all of which shouts patriotism from this American manufacturer.

The 2020 Road Glide Special model with the Special Edition Two-Tone Paint options is priced at $29,699, a $1,900 premium over base price with a standard solid color. This paintjob meets with the factory standards for quality and durability, and are backed by the limited Harley-Davidson warranty.

The rest of the mechanical unit is left untouched. The unrelenting power of the Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine - the biggest put out on any of the current Touring models still makes up a mammoth 123 lb-ft peak torque to lug around 853 lbs. Showa suspension and the Reflex Linked Brembo Brakes carry on with their jobs here as well, and the BOOM! Box 6.5GT will keep the rider constantly entertained.
