The V8 truck harks on the Fat Boy’s persona with 65 customized components

For 20 many years, Indiana based Tuscany Motor Company would often give us enthusiasts Harley-Davidson special limited-edition trucks based out of Ford’s most famous pickup, the F-150. Ford never had a factory kit directly, but Tuscany customized these cosmetic packages under the direction of the Milwaukee firm, reflecting notable and iconic features of a cruiser almost every year.

For 2020, Tuscany has shed the Ford badge to a brand new GMC Sierra and have launched the Harley-Davidson GMC Sierra Truck, with the Fat Boy being the inspiration for this build. The limited run of 250 examples will include over 65 proprietary components designed alongside Harley-Davidson to uplift the vibe and the character of the already striking Sierra truck.

Low, wide, and intimidating. Ever have these been the hallmarks of the Fat Boy line, and it’s still true of today’s subjects as well as on the spanking new GMC Sierra. Starting the show with those 22" "Fatboy" milled wheels, the truck maintains the bottom-heavy look just like the 18-inch solid-disc Lakester rims that fancy on the Fat Boy. Demanding further attention, these wheels get accentuated with the vivid, orange logo and “HARLEY-DAVIDSON MOTOR COMPANY” milled into the face of the wheel carrying all-terrain tires.

The front carries the aggressive GMC grille with a custom patterned mesh bordered with the same orange and the HD name embezzled at the bottom. A black skid plate flaunts a row of driving LEDs and is finished off with accented orange tow hooks. The hood features sporty new injection-molded vents for induction airflow. On the sides, we have active air vents that also carry the orange Bar & Shield logo.

Speaking of which, the largest logo is boldly pressed on the color-matched tonneau cover. The rear also sees the dark finish cladded tailgate with integrated Harley-Davidson badging. A custom-tuned exhaust setup features the end cans with exclusive solid aluminum black tips and orange accents. For an undercover look, the windows are tinted to 50-state spec, and the stealth look takes on a serious note where all the satin chrome throughout the original design gets a dark treatment, and I’m digging it.

Every single Sierra gets an exclusive number, and to remind you of such exclusivity, the etched plate is placed onto the center console in a stylish design, as well as on the redesigned console. The interior flairs a dash of orange with the diamond stitch pattern on the leather seat and embroidered with "Harley-Davidson” badging. The badging is also reflected on the carpet floor mats, door sill inserts, billet pedals, and on the stainless steel gauges with back-lighting.

This is not just a cosmetic exercise. The V-8-powered 2020 Harley-Davidson GMC Sierra Truck does justice to both form and function. The BDS suspension gets re-designed with tuned “fox” performance shocks and lateral stability bars. The truck also receives a performance-tuned header-exhaust unit for a distinctive barky tone. Exclusive power running boards with a rock guard trim and entry lights make a scene too.

The model will be offered in a choice of three liveries, Summit White, Onyx Black, or Satin Steel Metallic. Each of the 250 limited units will be sold with a price tag of $94,995 (twice the price of the original GMC Sierra) and can be reserved at select GMC retailers and online.

Subtle is definitely not the name here.
