Honda’s CBR moniker is an important one for the Japanese bikemaker and has birthed some truly game-changing motorcycles. One such motorcycle was the Honda CBR900RR, which went on sale from 1992 to 2003, serving as the base for the now-flagship CBR1000RR FireBlade. Looking for a pristine CBR900RR to bless your garage? Lucky for you, there’s one available at BringATrailer going for no reserve. Here are all of its details.

1997 Honda CBR900RR For Sale

This particular example of the CBR900RR is the 1997 model, officially dubbed the SC33 CBR900RR.

It comes wrapped in a very '90s livery boasting a gloss black base coat topped by stunning red and white graphics. You also get a color-matched tinted visor that blends in cleanly with the bike’s black body.

What makes the package even more delectable is the lack of any major damage to the bodywork. Yes, there are some small blemishes on the fairing, but it isn’t something you wouldn’t find on a 25-year-old motorcycle.

Once aboard, the rider is greeted by a triple-dial instrument cluster with ~12,000 miles on the clocks, coupled to a clip-on handlebar-mounted below the triple clamp.

Coming to the heart of the matter, the ‘97 CBR900RR squeezed out ~125 horsepower from its 919cc, straight-four mill. The bike here comes equipped with a Yoshimura slip-on exhaust and sounds pretty sweet.

As you’d expect, there are no electronics at play here and you’re pretty much at the mercy of your right hand at all times.

The engine is located inside a twin-spar (also called perimeter) frame sprung on beefy 45mm Showa forks and a Pro-Link mono-shock, both adjustable. In addition, the underpinnings also comprise Nissin brakes at both ends, an aluminum swingarm, and 16/17-inch alloy wheels.

What’s The Price?

As usual, you can head to BringATrailer and place your bid, if you’re interested. Since there’s no reserve price, the current bids at the moment are fairly low, which gives you a solid chance of taking this ride home.

The bike comes with all of its accompanying paperwork, tool kit, and owner’s manual, as well as the original keys.
