Ducati has taken the wraps off of their 2022 Multistrada V4. The bike packs a handful of subtle updates. However, most of it remains as is, which isn’t a bad thing at all, considering the Multistrada V4 was Ducati’s highest-selling motorcycle last year.

What’s New?

For 2022, the most notable update comes to the color options available on the Multistrada V4. The bike is now offered in a new Iceberg White livery (exclusive to the S variant), available alongside the existing Ducati Red and Aviator Grey colors.

The new white shade makes the bike look quite fresh and helps the 2022 version stand out from the 2021 model. While the livery gets no graphics, the red chassis does add a pinch of sportiness to its appearance.

The next notable update comes to the semi-active suspension, as the bike gains a new Minimum Preload system. This feature temporarily decreases the ride height of the bike, giving shorter riders better control over the motorcycle. Additionally, this should also help improve control during two-up riding.

Besides this, Ducati has also upgraded the ADV’s infotainment system and Human-Machine Interface for 2022.

Both the Minimum Preload system and the upgraded infotainment system will be made available to existing Multistrada V4 owners at no extra cost. And before you worry about missing the update, Ducati themselves will get in touch with you via the My Ducati app and schedule an appointment for the same at an official Ducati dealership.

Lastly, Ducati has expanded the accessories portfolio for the Multistrada V4. The company will introduce a new seat height lowering kit for the motorcycle. The kit will comprise fork springs, shock absorber springs, and a side stand, ultimately lowering the Multi’s ride height by as much as 31.5mm.

Along with this, sturdy and spacious Aluminium panniers and a top box have also been introduced. These are built in conjunction with Givi and jointly offer 76-liter of space. Not to forget, these come with waterproof internal bags for your precious goodies.

What’s Unchanged?

As I mentioned earlier, most of the bike remains unchanged. Consequently, the 2022 Multistrada V4 continues to draw power from 1,158cc, V4 motor which churns out 170 horsepower and 92 pound-feet. And to help you put all this power to good use, you get an extensive electronics package featuring:

- Riding modes

- Traction control

- Wheelie control

- Cornering headlight (V4S)

- Radar-guided cruise control (V4S)

All of it toggled via back-lit switchgear and a TFT instrument cluster.

Like the engine, the chassis remains the same too. The Aluminium monocoque frame, derived from the Panigale V4, is sprung on a 50mm USD fork and a mono-shock, both fully adjustable. }

Meanwhile, if you opt for the top-spec V4 S model, it unlocks Ducati’s semi-active Skyhook suspension at both ends.

2022 Ducati Multistrada V4 Price & Availability

The new Ducati Multistrada, in its Iceberg livery, will go on sale priced at $26,295. However, this new shade won't make it to American shores until Q2 or Q3 of 2022, so you will have to wait it out before get your hands on one.
