It’s Really Happening: BSA Is Definitely Coming Back
The reborn BSA name will be officially introduced to the public at the Motorcycle Live Show in Birmingham, UK, in December. A new model will be on display, it has been confirmed.
BSA to make its public bow in the UK in December
Mere days after we brought you the news that Indian manufacturing giant Mahindra would be resurrecting the BSA name at some point in the future, comes the announcement that the brand will have a presence at the upcoming Motorcycle Live Show at the NEC exhibition centre in Birmingham in December.
While it is likely that the BSA stand will contain plenty of examples of models from through the ages, an example of a brand new model has been promised, making the show the first time in 50 years than BSA has had an official presence at a major motorcycling show with a new model.
The confirmation that a new BSA model will be on display comes from BSA itself and is not the show organisers trying to get a few more feet through the door with baseless claims. It seems likely that the model on display will be the production version of the bike our last article reported being seen tested in India.
There is also sure to be information about what we can expect to see from BSA in the future.
A statement from BSA on the Motorcycle Live website reads:
’Over 100 years since the first BSA motorcycle hit the road, BSA is back – and the stage is set at Motorcycle Live for us to showcase our new motorcycle for the first time, as well as paying homage to the models that stamped an indelible mark on the world of motorcycling.’
