In the recent past, Johnny Depp has made headlines (you know why) and has come out as the only man to officially win an argument with a woman. As a result, Depp’s fans have had all kinds of celebrations across the world, and Kruse GWS Auctions, being a Depp fan, is doing so too.

How, you ask? Well, by putting up the iconic 1955 Harley-Davidson K Model ridden by Johnny Depp in the movie Cry-Baby. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor not only rode this Harley-Davidson in the movie but also on public roads, thus making it an epic collector’s item for true Depp fans.

Johnny Depp’s 1955 Harley-Davidson K Model Put On Auction

However, thanks to Depp’s exponential increase in popularity, the motorcycle is not easy on the pocket by any means. Kruse GWS Auctions has set a reserve price of a whopping $250,000 on the bike and if you have such deep pockets, the bids will be in increments of $25,000. Even though this is way out of the ballpark for most people, sources suggest people have already started putting in bids.

Fanboyism aside, the Harley-Davidson K Model is a rich piece of history for motorcycle enthusiasts too. The K Model paved the way for Harley’s popular Sportster range and took part in several races during the time.

It featured a 750cc side-valve engine, pumping out near about 30-35 horsepower. Today, these bikes are rarely available on the market, which, coupled with their rich history, make them prized possessions, even if you take out the Johnny Depp factor.

In case you’re wondering, once the movie wrapped up, Josh Spring (part of the Cry-Baby crew) acquired the motorcycle and it has changed hands quite a few times since then.

Currently, Depp’s K Model reportedly sits on display at a museum in Missouri, with its listing suggesting it is in fantastic condition, has all the parts, and should run and drive. } } It doesn’t, however, ensure the same level of attention from gals Johnny got.

$250,000 is a lot of money but if you’re a true Depp fan (or just love classic bikes) and money is just an object, this is probably worth every penny you’d spend on it. Not to mention, the value of the motorcycle will only increase with time, so it’s a win-win. If interested, you can head to GWS Auctions’ website.
