Harley-Davidson's electric sub-brand LiveWire has finally introduced its second electric motorcycle, the S2 Del Mar Launch Edition.

As the name suggests, this is a limited-edition - consider it a taster - of the production model of the S2 Del Mar, that’s expected to set foot next year boasting similar design, specs, and components as the Launch Edition.

LiveWire S2 Del Mar Details

Based on LiveWire’s all-new Arrow architecture, the S2 Del Mar has a flat-tracker-inspired design, evident from the short tail section, tall handlebar, 19-inch wheels, toothed pegs, and the mini-visor over the Fat Bob-like LED headlight.}

All this, coupled with the snazzy fading paint options, Jasper Gray and Comet Indigo, makes the Del Mar a gorgeous and standout e-bike.

Design aside, the Del Mar comes laden with impressive components such as USD forks, rear mono-shock, Brembo brakes, and a unique swingarm design.

While the official specs are yet to be announced, Livewire has revealed some promising target goals for the Del Mar. This includes a 59.6kW motor (capable of catapulting the bike to 60mph in just 3.5 seconds) along with a 100-mile city range. While the range is pretty decent, we’ll have to wait and see what the “real” number turns out to be, especially at highway speeds.

In addition, LiveWire claims the Del Mar will weigh 440-pound or less, nearly 120 pounds less than the LiveWire One, which should help the bike be much easier and more fun to ride around.

LiveWire S2 Del Mar Pricing

LiveWire aims for a target MSRP of $15,000 for the Del Mar and the motorcycle will be manufactured at Harley’s Vehicle Operations plant in York, Pennsylvania.

With all 100 units of the S2 Del Mar Launch Edition - priced at $17,699 - sold out in just 18 minutes of its official unveil, the future seems quite bright for the standard Del Mar. Only if the company manages to live up to its claims or perhaps outdo them, though.
