The Sportster S marked a new chapter in Harley-Davidson’s book, as it set the course for the company’s all-new, revamped Sportster lineup. However, as good-looking as it is, the bike doesn't round it off with a thunderous growl as Harleys do (credit to Euro-5 norms) and that’s exactly the problem we’re tackling here.

Italian exhaust-maker Zard has taken the wraps off not one but two new exhausts for the Harley-Davidson Sportster S. Called Top Gun and GT, these not only unlock the rumbling exhaust note, but also increase power and decrease weight, making them perfect additions for your Sportster.

Zard Top Gun and GT Exhausts For Harley-Davidson Sportster S

Both exhausts are mostly the same in terms of materials used and construction, and mainly differ in terms of aesthetics. The Zard Top Gun boasts a straight-cut design with shorter exhaust pipes while the Zard GT flaunts a slash-cut design as well as longer end cans. The former also sits a little taller and has a turbine-like internal design, thus adding a little more attention to detail.

Coming to the common bits, both exhausts have a matte black stainless steel construction, carbon-fiber end caps, and follow a two-into-two layout. In addition, the Zard exhausts result in a 2.4 horsepower and 7.2 pound-feet of torque gain while shaving off a substantial 8.6 pounds. Couple all this together and you get a significant power-to-weight ratio improvement on your Sportster S.

That’s not it, though. Making the package even sweeter, both the Zard Top Gun and GT adhere to Euro-5 guidelines (thanks to dB killers) and come with two-piece carbon fiber heat shields that replace the stock plastic units.
