The BMW S 1000 RR is a dream bike for many, but only a handful have the cash to bring it home. For those of you who don’t, however, allow us to offer a solution in the form of the QJMotor Race 250, a BMW S 1000 RR lookalike that costs a fifth of the original bike. Let’s dive in, shall we?

QJMotor Race 250 - BMW S 1000 RR Lookalike From China

Even though we aren’t fond of Chinese clones, there’s no denying that the Race 250 is a good-looking 250cc sportbike. The S 1000 R-inspired design with a sharp fascia and a sleek tail end play in favor of the Race 250 and the sporty graphics amp things up further. In fact, the diamond-cut alloy wheels and the single-sided swingarm are, dare we say, more appealing than the real deal, strictly by design standards.

Like the design, QJMotor has even copied the “R” logo of the S 1000 RR and applied it multiple times throughout the bodywork. That’s a bit too much, if you ask us, and it can surely result in a few legal infringements in international markets.

Complementing the premium design, the Race 250 packs a TFT instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, USD forks, and all-LED lights, all as standard. This is by no means comparable to the BMW, but it’s surely a lot for a 250cc offering.

At the heart of the Race 250 lies a 249cc, single-cylinder engine pumping out 27.4 horsepower and 16.6 pound-feet. These respectable numbers, coupled with the bike’s 350-pound curb weight, should make it a fun and capable learner’s bike.

Meanwhile, the engine sits in a steel chassis that’s paired with USD forks and a monoshock for suspension duties, whereas the braking hardware includes a 300mm front and 260mm rear disc.

QJMotor Race 250 - What’s The Price?

In its hometown, the Race 250 retails for 19,999 Yuan (~$3000) which is a solid proposition by our standards. However, as mentioned above, all this cloning could raise a few questions in international markets, which is why the bike’s international launch seems unlikely.

Nevertheless, do let us know what you think about the QJMotor Race 250 by commenting down below. Oh, and don’t hold back.
