Monimoto Motorcycle Tracker Unit

Motorcycle thefts are on the increase around the world and tracker systems are getting more expensive and difficult to install.

Not any more.

Monimoto tracker systems have been keeping motorcycles safe since 2013 and the latest version, the Monimoto 7, is in keeping with the company's vision of constant improvement.

The new tracker is smaller, lighter and easier to install and conceal than ever. The big advantage of the Monimoto unit is that it doesn't rely on the motorcycle's battery to stay active: it is powered by its own internal lithium AA batteries that enable it to stay active for up to three years. This is enabled by the new LTE-M (LTE Cat-M1) network that doesn't drain the battery as quickly.

This new technology is a major breakthrough for stand-alone tracker companies, providing broader coverage and reduced notification times to the user. Not only that, but the signal is now stronger, boosting the accuracy of the unit so that it is even detectable in an underground car park.

A big plus is the ease of installation by inexperienced owners: no electronic skill is necessary and instructions are easy to follow. The unit is wireless so not only is there no need to hack into your motorcycle's wiring loom, it is also much harder for thieves to detect and even know there is a tracker fitted.

It works by detecting the Monimoto Key Fob, that comes as part of the package. If the key fob is detected when the bike moves, then no alarm is sounded. If there is no fob, then the alarm sounds and you can see where your bike is via the mobile app. As soon as the key fob moves out of range, the tracker unit arms itself: no need to arm (or forget to arm!) it.

The app will also notify you when battery power is getting low so you can change them in good time.

The unit costs $199, with an annual subscription of $49.
