Milan is just a few days away, and MV Agusta->ke947 is hard at work building the anticipation for its newest additions and changes. First up, according to a press release from the Mechanica Verghera, we have a net-new addition to the “Dragster” family with the limited-edition Dragster 800 RC. The name isn't just a play on words; just a glance at the one-butt subframe and 200 mm rear end is enough to establish its street credentials, and if that doesn't do it, the 140 horsepower engine certainly will. A transverse-mount, inline three-cylinder mill delivers this power with a whole battery of electronic management to include throttle sensitivity, power and torque delivery, variable engine braking, traction control and a Quickshifter for seamless shifts while you roar down the road/track/whatever. All-business body paneling is kept to a minimum and is all up front with just enough tail to support the rider saddle. Suspension and brakes are top shelf, but I'll get into the details in my upcoming review.

Meanwhile Back On The Farm

Meanwhile, the factory has unveiled a handful of new race-replica (RC) models that sport the brands livery in bold, red/white/green graphics. So far we have both the F3 and F4 in the RC finish, predictable given the nature of those bikes, but the addition of the Turismo Veloce 800, complete with side panniers, was a pleasant surprise. What we don't have is the AMG logo anymore. Now, we can speculate all day, but it's pointless; I'm just going to let them sort it out and announce something in their own good time. What I do know is that these bikes join the rest of the 2017 lineup, and like the new Dragster, they will bear a closer look once the show winds down. Well, in addition to any other secrets that get unveiled at the upcoming EICMA, that is.
