MV Agusta brought the 65th EICMA show to a successful conclusion winning the "Most Beautiful Motorcycle" award with the new Brutale 1078RR.

The award was organised by the magazine "Motociclismo", the best-known Italian specialist magazine in this sector. Voting never wavered throughout the show with more than 25.7% of visitors casting their ballots in favour of MV Agusta's latest creation from a total of over 26,000 votes. Second with 15.2% was the Ducati Monster 696 that was in turn ahead of the BMW HP2 Sport (9.2%). The award was presented at the Motolive area and Claudio Castiglioni, the President of MV Agusta, was in attendance.

The new Brutale 1078RR will go on sale in early 2008 alongside the 989R and 910S versions. The 1078RR differs in that it has a bigger engine putting out 154 CV, new graphics, adjustable suspension from the F4 RR 312, a slipper clutch, forged wheels and radial Brembo monoblock brake calipers. The fact that this award was won during the show, in which visitors were able to physically compare new models from all the makers, made it all the more significant. The Brutale is one of the most coveted motorcycles ever made, is a symbol of all that is good about "Made in Italy" and has been recognised as such the world over.
