Ducati has, in recent years, used the annual EICMA motorcycle show in Milan to debut significant new models. This year looks to be no different with rumours circulating that there will be a new V-twin Streetfighter and V4 Multistrada Pikes Peak.

New Ducati Models at EICMA?

In recent years, Ducati has gone to great lengths to steal the show at the annual EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, the major European showcase for the motorcycle industry.

Hosting its own live-streamed World Premiere event in the days leading up the the main event has been one way Ducati has stolen the limelight from its rivals, ramping up expectation for the models on display in the cavernous halls of the exhibition.

For 2021, news from the Bologna factory has been sparse to date, but rumours abound that, as in 2019, the Streetfighter will be a big draw, albeit this time in V-twin form and not the V4 version announced in 2019.

The Streetfighter V2 will, in all likelihood, be powered by the 955cc Superquadro twin-cylinder currently found in the Panigale V2, meaning a power output of around 155bhp in a bike that should be comfortably cheaper than the V4 version.

The grainy spy shot doesn't show much but it is likely that it will resemble closely the V4 Streetfighter. What the shot also shows is what is thought to be a new V4 Multistrada Pikes Peak model.

Celebrating Ducati's success on the famed hill climb race, which ironically has banned motorcycles from competing over safety concerns after the death of Carlin Dunne riding a prototype of the Ducati V4 Streetfighter in 2019, the Pikes Peak models have traditionally been cosmetically-tweaked versions of existing models, encompassing more carbon fibre and aftermarket accessories such as Akrapovic exhaust systems.

All will be revealed on the 25th - 28th November, 2021.
