New Moto Guzzi V100 Mondello
A few weeks ago, we got grainy spy shots of the new Moto Guzzi V100 at a video shoot near lake Como in Northern Italy. Now, the company has released the video in question and we get the first proper look at the new model and it doesn’t disappoint.
There are no details regarding engine output but we get a good look at the bike and it doesn’t disappoint. So, what do we know?
The V100 Mondello is a Sports GT Tourer in style. The engine is liquid-cooled and from the name we know it will be 1000cc. Power output should be in the region of 110-120bhp and, given the engine configuration, torque should be relatively high as well. The name is also a nod to the fact that Guzzi is 100 years old this year.
Close attention has been paid to aerodynamics, with swoopy bodywork, an electrically-adjusted screen and interesting moveable flaps in the side of the fairing. The styling is modern but doesn’t break tradition with previous Guzzis.
There are some parts that are shared with the V85 TT adventure model, such as switchgear, side panels and rear light unit. The dashboard is a TFT unit.
For more details, we are going to have to wait until the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan at the end of November. But, for now, it looks as if Moto Guzzi has a winner on its hands.
