A new stunt riding team supported by BMW Motorrad in Finland will soon be making an appearance at international events. This new project, involving all the Nordic countries, will see stunt riders Tony Raita and Mikael Hilska use BMW F 800 machines for all their stunt events, shows and competitions in 2007.

Tony Raita, 34-years-old, is a very experienced stunt rider, as well as a judge and director in various stunt competitions. Mikael Hilska, 19-years-old, is younger but equally wild and talented – and has been very successful in many stunt competitions from a very early age. The new team are looking forwards to showing the rest of the world what they are capable of on the F 800.

The first official event for this stunt team is the Stockholm Motorcycle Show in Sweden on 26-28 January. The team will also be displaying their skills at the motorcycle show in Helsinki, Finland on 1-4 of February. The first actual competition for the BMW Motorrad Finland stunt team is the world championship freestyle event in Zurich, Switzerland, on 15-18 February 2007.

As Chris Pfeiffer has already proved, BMW’s 800cc parallel twin makes a fantastic and ‘seriously fun’ stunt bike, almost straight from the ‘box’. The F 800 motorcycles that Tony Raita and Mikael Hilska will be using are just as light, powerful and easy to ride.
