Red Cross holds motorcycle rally
The Northern Nevada chapter is organizing a fundraiser to support the Red Cross in its actions of opening shelters and providing emergency assistance to families who have to evacuate their homes in order to protect themselves from the fires rage around Northern Nevada. Ride for the Red is scheduled for Sunday, July 29 as well as the second annual “poker” run that will raise funds for the Northern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross.
The event starts at 8 a.m. at the Red Cross office on Corporate Blvd. near Mill and McCarran and it includes a ride around Lake Tahoe, ending in Reno at the First National Bank on Neil Road for lunch and entertainment by Rock Monster.
If you are already planning on going, then you probably know that registration is $30 for each rider and the first 175 registered riders are guaranteed a Ride for the Red ride pin and a T-shirt.
If you’ve just found out about the activity and you would like to register you would have to call (775) 856-1000 or you can go online to RideforTheRed@nevada.redcross.org.
