Monterey, California will be a busy place on the weekend of July 18, 2015 as the World Superbike Championship->ke3395 races at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. That’s all well and good but there’s another reason why Laguna Seca will be a hip-and-happening place this weekend. Kawasaki’s->ke299 popular bike show series, Riders of Kawasaki, will be in attendance at Laguna Seca, giving Kawasaki owners and fellow motorcycle enthusiasts a chance to enjoy the the day’s activities with their fellow cycleheads.

The highlight of the Riders of Kawasaki event is a bike show that’s scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Kawasaki owners are more than welcome to enter their motorcycles into the show where they’ll get an opportunity to win from any number of prizes made available by the event’s sponsors. If they prefer to stay on the sidelines for the auto show, that’s ok too. At least they’ll be able to enjoy the day’s festivities. It’s a win-win proposition.

Those who do participate in the bike show will enter their motorcycles in any one of the following categories: Best Race Replica Ninja Sportbike, Best Custom Ninja Sportbike and Best Vintage Kawasaki. There will also be a People’s Choice Award for each category and a Best in Show, which will be awarded to the best Yamaha of the lot.

Winners will be determined by public voting with voting set to begin at 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm the very same day.

Why it matters

Is there a better way to spend the World Superbike weekend at Laguna Seca than enjoying the festivities with all your Kawasaki brothers and sisters? I personally don’t think so, which is why Kawasaki motorcycle owners should circle July 18, 2015 in their calendars for the Riders of Kawasaki event in Monterey, California.

Like a lot of bike gatherings, Riders of Kawasaki is the perfect place for motorcycle owners to rub elbows and talk shop with their brethren. It’s the kind of event that can foster new relationships among riders. That’s especially true for this particular event because a majority of those who are going to attend all have one thing in common: they’re tried and true Kawasaki riders.

It’s as close to Christmas in July for Kawasaki owners, a lot of whom will get the opportunity to share trade stories and memorable experiences with their peers and colleagues. This aren’t the kind of people we normally meet in any given day so I suggest to those in the shadows of Laguna Seca to stop by and enjoy the company of fellow Kawasaki lovers.

Even if you don’t own a Kawasaki, I highly recommend that you also drop by the event. Just because you don’t own a Kawasaki, that doesn’t mean your any less of a rider than those who do. Besides, Riders of Kawasaki has an open invitation to anybody who wants to attend, even if they don’t bring a Kawasaki with them to the site.

Who knows, non-Kawasaki owners might even be encouraged to but a Kawasaki for their next bikes. Strange things do happen in events like this and I won’t be surprised if there will be future Kawasaki owners by the time the festival wraps up.
