You can buy most of these custom parts yourself and the price begins from as low as $71
by Punya Sharma, onCustom Harley-Davidsons are quite common and this makes standing out a challenge not everyone is up for. Germany’s Thunderbike, however, isn’t one to shy away from challenges, so for its latest creation, the shop has customized a Harley-Davidson Sportster S in a subtle but striking way.
Custom Harley-Davidson Sportster S By Thunderbike
The first thing that catches the eye is the gorgeous custom livery comprising a mesmerizing glossy orange base coat complete with black and golden graphics. In addition, you also get golden alloy wheels and a brawny, color-matched belly pan which not only complements the graphics but makes the bike ever-so-dapper.
As brilliant as this, the USP of the custom Sportster S is its long list of bespoke parts. Starting up top, the bike flaunts a sporty tinted windscreen topped with sleek fork-mounted LED indicators as well as muscular radiator shrouds.
Behind this, Thunderbike has swapped the stock handlebar setup with a custom unit that sits lower, thus making the ergonomics sportier. Meanwhile, aftermarket grips, triple clamp, and mirrors round off the new setup while custom footpegs help increase the cornering clearance. Like everything else, the rear end also packs a number of changes, including a side-mounted number plate, sly LED indicators, pulley cover, and axel cover.
What about performance, you ask? Well, sadly, there are ZERO performance mods here and you don’t even get a custom exhaust. While this might bum out a few of you, Thunderbike claims the 122 horsepower output from the 1,252cc Revolution Max engine is plenty fun as it is. Similarly, the shop has kept away from tweaking the underpinnings and the bike continues to ride on USD forks and an adjustable monoshock. The braking hardware also remains as it is.
Can You Buy It?
Thunderbike has shed little light on whether the custom Sportster S is on sale. However, the bikemaker ensures all modifications (except for the paint job and handlebar) are available on its online store and bolt-on directly to the Harley, in case any existing Sportster owner wants them. The range starts from as low as 70 Euros ($71) going up to well over 1000 Euros ($1020).
