The masterpiece: Rossi, Pedrosa and Stoner on the podium!
Early in the race, Valentino Rossi manages to stay strong under the conditions of “hybrid” asphalt, but as the laps are gathered one by one Yamaha’s pilot puts on the turbo.
The only one that decently remained competitive was Dani Pedrosa who then gave up just a few laps before the flag entered the scene. “Bronze” goes to Casey Stoner who stood up only 12 seconds behind Pedrosa while, surprisingly, the fourth position is being occupied by Jorge Lorenzo.
Following the tops, Marco Melandri comes fifth, just ahead of Nicky Hayden and Colin Edwards. Ninth place goes to Loris Capirossi and eleventh to Dovizioso. Andrew, the protagonist of a splendid comeback that had resulted in fourth position has collapsed in the final because some technical problems.
Alex de Angelis comes seventeenth in the general classifications dominated by Pedrosa and Lorenzo who had only two lengths lead over fellow teammate Valentino Rossi.
The next MotoGP session is being scheduled for the 18th of May on the circuit of Le Mans, France.
