The Military goes for Diesel Motorcycles
Hayes Diversified Technologies builds motorcycles for UK and EU NATO. Nothing unusual with that, but things change when reading that the respective model is diesel-powered and there is also a civilian version of it.
The M1030M1E AVTUR Diesel Military is both an on and off-road bike designed to carry soldiers to and from conflict areas fast without being easily spotted.
Powered by a 611cc liquid-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder diesel engine with four-valves, this innovative motorcycle has at its disposal 21 KW @ 5500 rpm and 44 Nm @ 3000 rpm. Mated to a five speed constant mesh gearbox and connected through wet multi-plate clutch, it can go with no refueling stops for 650 km at a speed of 88 km/h.
It won’t stop a bomb from blowing you up, but it can get you out of trouble faster than any other war machines.
