Thanks to their classic looks, likable riding dynamics, and a variety of engine options, the Yamaha XSR's have created a big name for themselves in their respective segments.

Now, to pay homage to this rich legacy of the XSR lineup, Yamaha has taken the wraps off a special Legacy Edition of the XSR125 that looks stunning as ever.

2022 Yamaha XSR125 Legacy Edition

For this special edition, the XSR125 dons a unique livery, dubbed ‘Historic Black’, which wraps the motorcycle in a glossy black base coat topped by striking silver and golden pinstripes on the fuel tank.

In addition to this, the livery also includes silver accents on the front fender, golden company logos, and a silver two-piece aluminum muffler cover.

While the livery is surely eye-catching, the most striking visual element, for me, is the special golden spoke wheels wrapped in dual-purpose rubber. Not only do these help the bike look extra premium and snazzy, but they also add to the bike’s retro charm, something you definitely expect on a bike called the ‘Legacy’ edition.

On a quick side note, the special livery looks just like the ‘Raven’ color option of the XSR700.}

Apart from these bits, everything else remains the same as the standard XSR125. So the bike draws power from a 124cc, single-cylinder engine, putting out 14.7 horsepower and 8.5 pound-feet.

The engine is housed in Yamaha’s signature delta box chassis, accompanied by 37mm USD forks and a mono-shock for optimal shock absorption.

Meanwhile, features on the XSR125 Legacy Edition are also the same as the standard XSR125, comprising front and rear LED lights, a negative-LCD instrument cluster, and a ribbed single-piece seat.

2022 Yamaha XSR125 Legacy Edition Price

Yamaha hasn’t announced the official price of the XSR125 Legacy Edition yet. However, the company insists you get in touch with your nearest dealer for the same. For reference, the standard XSR125 is priced at $4,990 in Europe.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, the bike will begin reaching dealerships from June 2022.
