Harley-Davidson is one of the most popular bike makers in the world, which means it has a wide and diverse audience riding its bikes. Celebrating this diversity, the company has announced a new initiative called Enthusiast Collection which will birth special edition models based on existing Harley bikes annually. With this, Harley-Davidson also took the stage to announce this year’s limited edition models - the Pan America 1250 Special G.I. and Tri Glide Ultra G.I. - both celebrating the US Army and the iconic Harley bikes used in WWII.

2023 Harley-Davidson Pan America Special G.I. & Tri Glide Ultra G.I. - What’s Different?

The most notable aspect of the special edition Harleys is the standout livery. Dubbed Mineral Green Denim Deluxe, this color wraps both bikes in a deep green shade, taking inspiration from the Olive color used on the iconic Harley-Davidson WLA.

Completing the livery is a stenciled H-D logo on the fuel tank accompanied by a white star (similar to what Harley used on its WWII bikes), and a subtle Enthusiast logo upfront. Besides all this, the Tri Glide gets a few extra graphics on its rear luggage carriers.

2023 Harley-Davidson Pan America Special G.I. & Tri Glide Ultra G.I. - What’s Unchanged?

Except for the aesthetics, everything else remains as it is on both bikes. Based on the Pan America Special, the Pan America G.I. employs a 1250cc, twin-cylinder engine pumping out 150 horsepower.

Meanwhile, the Tri Glide G.I. is the same as the Tri Glide Ultra and gets the 98 horsepower-making Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine. Similarly, the features and underpinnings are the same as the non-special edition models too.

2023 Harley-Davidson Pan America Special G.I. & Tri Glide Ultra G.I. - Pricing & Availability

Harley-Davidson has priced the Pan America Special G.I. and Tri Glide Ultra G.I. at $20,799 and $38,099, respectively. This makes the former $800 and the latter $2,400 more expensive than the Pan America Special and the Tri Glide Ultra.

Sure, the price bump is a bit steep for what’s basically a paint job, but if you’re a true Harley Enthusiast looking for a limited edition model, we’d say these are worth it.
