Your eyes won’t believe this but there is a Supercharged KTM 520 concealed

It is not every day that you come across something that makes you pause and just look at it in all astonishment. One bloke called Maxwell Hazan has made it his life’s prophecy to give the world some of the most beautiful drug, of which people can only fathom of how such a notion was even hypothesized.

The drug this time is, yes you guessed it right, “Supercharged.”

Hazan is responsible for creating masterpieces out of metal, fire, and rubber that reflects his willingness to build whatever he imagines. And what an imagination he has! He starts with the motor and then lets the lines dictate the rest of the build.

This time, he starts with a “not your regular” KTM 520 motor, but one that has received some serious overhaul that includes a massive forced feeding supercharger. It easily kicks up the horsepower to 85 at the crank, but that is not why we are here. We are here to take a moment and admire the rest of this artistic machine that can easily go down in the history books as ‘The God’s Shiny Toy.’

Disc brakes built within the transmission

Let’s start with the wheels. These bespoke sets have flangeless hubs and unorthodox lacing techniques wrapped with custom tire sets. Then you have the suspension setup. Unlike seen on any other custom designs till now, the Springer mechanism are in tension rather than compression. (It took me many hours of YouTube and Google to understand how it works). The shocks use sections of fork springs with smaller valve springs inside them.

Just like us, Hazan hated loose wires and cables dangling around and needed something very minimalistic. Hence, all his designs had internal tubing where these cables would go, and the most exciting piece of his design is him building a disc brake within the transmission itself so that things just look clean. What can this man not do?!

Hazan even fit the small battery into the bespoke fuel tank in the name of simplicity, and I’m sure that such simple designs took the most time of him. The tank and the rear fender were all made of polished aluminum and were created with the intentions of showing off the motor parts. The lines flowed along with the design but do not obstruct the view of the cylinder heads, air filter, and rockers.

You can see a little of chrome, some lacquered wood and a lot of polished aluminum. The entire frame gets a polished black finish playing the contrasts well. The mirror finish on the body can literally reflect every molecule of light falling on it and shine the entire room; something like a spiritual phenomenon.

You sit on this beautifully aged piece of chiseled and polished walnut. Even the brake lever is a handmade piece of art that has the same wood end as that of the saddle. When you come to think of it, I believe this artistry is not made to be touched. You just sit on a chair, put your legs on top, sip on coffee and stare at it for hours at end.

How can such creation “NOT” be compared to the God’s handiwork?

Bold or stupid. Life is all about such decisions you make. Hazan knows that this creation of his began taking bold ones. And it’s breathtaking.
