"Terrible" Chareyre brothers hit the jackpot in Latina
The second race Supermoto Italian Championship was held in Latina, near Rome, last weekend. All the riders from the World Championship were there to fight for the first places on the fast "Il Sagittario" circuit, including Husqvarna CH Racing Team. Young riders Thomas and Adrien Chareyre, in wonderful shape, conquered both races in their respective class, thanks to unbelievably fast starts and a great feeling with their factory bikes.

In the S2 class, Adrien Chareyre, after getting the second fastest lap during Saturday’s sessions, started both races at high speed, immediately taking the lead, keeping it until the very end. The French rider had no problems leaving British Iddon (Aprilia) and 2007 Italian Champion Gozzini ( TM) behind. Adrien got the overall podium and the provisional leadership of the International Classification.

The other half of the Chareyre "duo" Thomas replicated his brother’s fast and furious starts and got the first position in the two heats immediately at the green light. In race 1, "Le Thom" completed the 14 laps and arrived at the chequered flag without any trouble, with "enemy n. 1" Thierry Van Den Bosch (Aprilia) and Bern Hiemer (KTM) behind. Start of race 2 was the replica of race 1, except that Thomas didn’t see Hiemer coming and at lap 2 the German rider passed him. The French rider started immediately the chase, attacking the KTM rider without a pause, until at the very last lap, Thomas passed Hiemer and arrived first at the finish line.

The two victories brought Thomas on the final podium and on top of the provisional international classification of the Championship 12 points up on Van Den Bosch. Next round of Supermoto Italian Championship is scheduled for May 18th in Busca, near Cuneo.
