In recent times, we’ve brought you many custom Harley-Davidsons ranging from scramblers to bobbers. What we have here, though, is a completely different ball game, and rightfully dubbed the Homemade Sin by its maker, Icon 1000.

Harley-Davidson Dyna “Homemade Sin” By Icon 1000

The project started its life as a 2013 Harley-Davidson Dyna and, as you’d expect, not much of it remains now. The first thing to go was the stock Milwaukee engine, which made way for an S&S T124, 2,032cc heart. While this is mighty as it is, the bikemaker topped it with a free-flowing S&S air filter, custom headers, and an S&S exhaust. Similarly, a custom clutch and belt-drive system were put in place to ensure all extra horses reach the rear wheel efficiently.

Next, underpinnings. Icon 1000 started by replacing the stock front suspension with chunky USDs borrowed from a Ducati Monster and topped them with Nitron suspension springs and a custom triple clamp. Outback, the team swapped the stock Dyna swingarm with a lighter aluminum setup accompanied by twin Nitron shock absorbers. Rounding off the chassis changes are 16-inch alloy wheels and race-spec brakes to counter the extra firepower.

Coming to the bodywork, in typical Icon 1000 fashion, the idea was to make a mean-looking bike, and that’s exactly the case here. The fuel tank comes from a Honda CB900F, while the team 3D-printed the tail section in-house and sprayed on a cool fire graphic to make things sexier. Meanwhile, the fascia is complete with a box-like headlight borrowed from a 1969 Honda Dawn.

Think this is a bit much? Well, the team pushed the craziness further by completely discarding the instrument cluster and equipping the cockpit with an ashtray and a cigarette lighter instead. Odd, but hey, at least it looks cool and will serve a purpose for the smokers.

Finally, other notable changes include custom clutch/brake levers, a clip-on handlebar, an Alcantara saddle, and a special oil-cooler located beside the headlight. Oh, and in case you haven’t figured it out yet, the bike is NOT road-legal.
